    After Snowfall

A birdhouse in our back yard that is uninhabited for the winter. It looks even lonelier after snow.

  4. All of your D60 photos are very good, and your market photos are lovely. I like the subjects, composition, dynamic range, color and exposure. This camera should serve you very well. I had a D80 with the same sensor, and loved it. Good travels!
  5. Following thirty-four years with film I switched completely to digital in 2003 with little knowledge of the technology. Imaging Resource's staff helped me in the transition. Their expert reviews familiarized me with a lot of gear, also demonstrating how specific gear performed in various controlled setups. Their Comparometer was very helpful. A great wealth lies on those servers. Understandably the image-making culture is moving on.
  6. I'm seventy-one, and my cameras are now definitely much smarter and quicker than I. Family, friends and photo club colleagues say my photography is still improving, and I get deep satisfaction from how much they seem to enjoy my images. I see A.I. as an ally, and rarely object to the way it improves my images.
  7. I was a camera salesman in the seventies. I've probably owned seventy or eighty over the years, and either sold or gave most away. My current cameras are my favorites from over the past sixteen years. One of them is a Kodak Retinette 1A, that I found on eBay for $9.95. A camera store was closing, and it was still in the storeroom as New Stock! It reminds me of the Voigtländer and Zeiss cameras I started out with, long ago.
