John see? Look at the difference between your shots and Michaels (nice butt shot b.t.w.)...worlds apart, worlds apart....I know it's Leica glass and all but ya still gotta use your head a little and get in nice and tight, keep trying....
-
still not close enough, lights a little flat too...maybe if you werent shooting into the light...next time try standing behind the ass
-
no need to get huffy...just get closer next time
-
yeah man it's got leica written all over it, great bokeh, the glow, elegantly and poetically rendered technical details and a crap pic...congrats, ya nailed it.
-
what's a print?
-
you guys figure it out yet???
-
"<i>Sadly Pablo, obviously not a true connoisseur, is using a cheap Zeiss copy lens of politically dubious parentage...</i>"
<p>
that shameless bastard....
-
<i>"...he also has a nice collection of Konica Hexar AF's."</i>
<p>
ahhhh, a fondler.
-
<i>Yea, Ed, I used to shoot with Majoli but he's mad at me right now..."</i>
<p>
Then you would know that he's a film dude when not being paid to endorse Olympus.
-
Dennis, how do you know Majoli shoots with a digital P&S? You shoot with him or are you just repeating what you read in an Olympus ad?
-
<i>Don't you think an all-black ad would have been better in a New York paper?</i>
<p>
F'd up aint it? almost scratched a hole through my skull...
-
saw a black and white Nike ad once, thought it should have been shot in color...it was it the Times too.
what's up with that paper??
-
sure...makes sense
-
<i>Can you eat that stuff?</i>
<p>
with hummus...
-

just to keep things straight and on an even keel my favorite food group is a pint of Bass and a vodka on the rocks....side by side naturally.
-
I don't know all the rules but i don't think you can buy it in any of the trdaer joes in NY. In Mass. the Trader Joes in Brookline carries it for three bucks and it's not even available at the store in Back Bay...
i did see "Sideways" this weekend so i am somewhat of a vino expert....
-
<I>Is it helping you take some of these photos, Ed?</I>
<p>
don't know...taste good though. Just finishing up a bottle of merlot and thinkin' of doin' the cabernet next, at three bucks a bottle....wtf?
<p>
<I>that's something the big guy over there would say too :)</I>
<p>
ok, ok...it was only one email and I stole the line from the good capt....where TF I put my glass?
<p>
TS, anyway, think Ackerman has a point. There's a sense of detachment in your pic that's not in the Wino ( :D ) pics....(this might have been said before)
-
TS, thanks....
on a seperate note, i just got a bunch of emails from folks saying i'm the only one making any sense here. kinda like the big guy over at the LF.
on another note, anybody ever try any of "two buck chucks" wine? highly recomended...highly....

"You can never get close enough" <i>Michael Ackerman</i>
<p>
T.S., I 'think' this means you should have had sex with them then photographed 'em....just my two cents.
-
Al Kaplan and Janet Reno in the same shot, holy smokes if that doesn't...(ah, nevermind).
Al, anyway i can get half a dozen and pay you later?
When you see a very nice picture you like...what
in Leica and Rangefinders

<i>quetions comes to your mind first and in what order?</i>
<p>
My next sandwich and beer, though not necessarily in that order.
