I think maybe you should have backed up a little and got lower.

Backing up would have got the feet, arrow and the stabilizer/weight on the front of the bow in the frame

getting lower would have moved the blue arrow up into the lighter sky where it would be more visible than on the dark blue water.

With "regular" cars I do ore with light or wide angles, from above......but I just didn't think

this one needed it? I just like the clean profile of this car and didn't want to do to much

Thanks for taking the time to comment, funny I never had a shot go so unnoticed. I bet if I posted a shirtless woman I would have at least 20 comments...........

I still pretty green when it comes to posing and people (I shoot racing and in the studio

    stuff that sits real still)

I would like to know what you think and how to improve shots like this

what do you think, typically I like to get some traffic or more motion blur, I like this angle and

wanted to know if it works for you

    Thank you all,

I used a 300 AFS 2.8 and a White Lightning strobe (x1600) camera right. color saturation and contrast in PSE3

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment, I guess I can live with the lighting, the trophy stands out and I guess that the real subject anyway.

I would have loved to get some more light (reflections off the trophy) in his face but it was a grab shot, also I am sure I could whip something up in photoshop but that would make it so typical og most of what I see here Id rather have dull.

I will employ someone to hold a reflector NEXT YEAR :)

    thanks again for the help

Wonderful image, cant put my finger on it exactly but I really like it, it has "snap" doesn't look flat it has a great feeling of texture or depth (even as a small screen shot)

    thanks for sharing

Im really not sure why but I really like this photo, other do not they say "he's just standing

still" but for me this one speaks more than almost any of the other "action" shots I took

    this night.

I would very much appreciate you opinion on this image, is he just standing there for you?

and what would you do to make it better.

    thank you

Thank you, the light was streaming in through breaks in the leaves in the trees behind, I like the look I god from shooting wide open because of it. I took a couple shots stopped down but didn't care for them as much.

Do you think the light from behind distracts or adds?

thank you for taking the time to comment

    regards
