Thank you for the comment, Its a long exposure using cokin warming soft focus filters and a mag light, the soft "deamy" look is what I was after
I will have to try something like this but keep the front flower sharper and have the background soft (I would use a tilt/shift lens to better control the DOF)
thanks again

Great image, Nature type shots usually dont get my attention but this really stand out
the interaction of the 2 subject is much more interesting than the same old "lone buck" type shot Ive seen so many times before, great comp, great color, great image
I guess If I could change something (I know it would not have been possible) I think I would have rather not had the deer in the front flat with the film plan (at a slight angle maybe 20 feet to the right or left)

I set out to shoot the leaves changing, but the sky was grey and overcast making the
colors really stand out but pretty flat lighting.
I decided to try a more simple detailed "Fall" shot and would very much like to know
what you think.

Very nice image, works great in B&W and I like the dark shadow on the white church
I dont care for the frame and the image is huge, and I believe it gets soft when resized to fit the screen

Do the heat waves and smoke help or hurt this image? I have others but this one (with
the muzzle flash) seem to stand out to me, for lack of a better word "gritty"
I would very much like you honest OPINION of the PHOTO
Thank you

I am getting worn out on seeing the same type of childrens photo's, the "deer in
headlights" look, same pose, same old muslin backdrop (in sharp focus to boot),
same lighting that never seems to change from subjest to subject
So while at the park with my girl friend a woman asked me to shoot a picture of her
and her child (her camera) I had my kit in the car so I offered to shoot a few at no
charge as I have NO experience at photographing children
I would very much like you opinion of this shot as a photographer and better yet as a
parent
Thank you

Im not a "nature" type of shooter, I set out to take shots of water and decided to
include some ducks (fill flash)

Great color and I really like the crop, very good work

I love the perspective here (the best I have seen) most floral shots start to look alike, yours is different it stands out nicely compared to others but I do wish it was in focus (starting at the center of the lily)

Such vivid color and smooth motion, different from most of your other images
great work as usual, thank you for posting these

CRAP! I thought I was being creative! Who is Sousa? Jack is that your photo? Id like to say mine is different but it might just be because Im to cheap to have any huge prints around (good thing)
Below is a post of the real shot, I remember seeing baby and some wedding shots like this (high key and washed out) from the 70's
I tried it with Sara on matte paper with a very light grey border in an 11x14 frame, I like the light look because the eyes jump off the paper
Thank you all so much for the comments, they mean much more to me than the ratings

Um, ok.
but the last thing I wanted was a "picture" that was sharp from front to back
