    A rainy day...

What a great shot.  Literally, the decisive moment.  The composition is superb.  I too rarely laugh at photographs.  This one really caught my attention.  Congratulations on a great catch.

    Time... like river

This is an amazing photograph. I keep coming back to it because it is unlike any horse picture I have ever seen. All of your pictures are unique....but this one is really special.

This is a wonderful environmental portrait of an ordinary man in an ordinary setting. But you captured a depth to the scene that is way beyond ordinary. I don't usually critique images on PN, but this one is an exception. It asks many more questions than it answers. Rick Langer

This is a wonderful, unique portrait. One of the best I have seen on PN. Your composite image works beautifully, transparently. In "Welcome to Oz", Vincent Versace said that any digital manipulation must be believable. Your portrait fits this description. This is one to be proud of. Rick
  1. This oak tree sits on a hill near Madison, Wisconsin. It is over 200

years old. A building was put up very near to this tree, and a lot of effort

went into saving it from the trauma of construction.

    Dune Pyramid

I love ths photo. The dark curve of the dune leads my eye into the image, then it collides with the brighter sky. There is a quiet permanance to everything....and yet I know that the sand, and the clouds, are all very impermanent, and this scene will never happen again. Great photograph.

    Inside Out

          2

My grandson was inside our house, and didn't want to come out to be

photographed. So I asked him just to come to the window. He did,

and I was struck by his beautiful face through the screen.

    Eyes

My wife and I were visiting a school in Sawai Madhopur, India. This

beautiful little girl is one of the students. Her eyes, outlined in

the red scarf, caught my attention immediately. Hope you enjoy

seeing it as much as I did recording it. Rick

    Jodhpur Farmer

Thank you for all of your kind comments. I very much appreciate it. I first saw this man in a line of patients, screening for eye problems at an eye camp near his village in rural India. He told me that he was a farmer, and that he lived with his wife and son and their family. He did not regard himself as anything special. But to me, he had the face of Moses.

    Yellow Sari

We were visiting Maduai India when a huge rainstorm hit. This woman

was walking in the rain, and her yellow sari was so striking against

    the background.

    Bus Window

This image was taken in Madurai India. We were working at an eye

hospital. The hospital dispatches busses to the local villages to

bring patients in for eye surgery. This woman was sitting in the

window of the bus, preparing to help with screening patients in the

    villages.

    The tower

A wonderfully creative image. The cross angles of the tiles with the reflection of the tower in the water makes for a very unique shot. As I studied this image, its real beauty came out more and more. Congratulations on a great shot.
  2. Hi Steve,

I like this image a lot, but would suggest making the water lighter, and the sky and trees a bit darker. Two curves adjustments. My eye wants to be drawn into the water, but the brightness of the trees make this difficult. Rick
