I should say, that I have just posted a thread in the Camera Equipment forum about my view on sharpness, called Blinded by sharpness Photography and technique.

Well I would like to hear what you think about this picture. It is

not sharp as pictures taken with Canon L prime lenses, just an

ordinary Sigma 28-300 zoom lens at 300mm! But I like the picture

what do You think about it?

I dont know what a really good flower shot is! But I know that I like this picture; its far better than the colour shots. I like all the grey-tones in the flower, beautiful picture!

Nice expression in her face because of the flowers it looks like something related to a party, and then she looks sad? that makes one wonder why! Nice picture!

A nice picture! Maybe you could make it even better, if you crop away some of the green grass at the bottom!

Really nice photo I really like the cars drawing light lines in the foreground. I dont know if its possible, but it would be perfect if you could dodge some more details in the lower left corner, is quite black. Thats would just be a minor improvement, after all, the picture is really nice as it is!

I like this picture the composition is nice, and the colours are really clear, therefore giving a good picture of how cold there must be at that spot!

Nice picture, but I think the real fancy frame is destroying it! Instead of looking at the picture first, I look at the frame, and then secondly on the picture, and thats a shame because it is a really good picture with really good light and atmosphere!

That is a really nice picture - I like the contrast between the relatively bright field and the dark sky. And then on top of it all, you managed to capture a lightning! Really nice is it fake or real?

A really nice picture - the only problem I see is the horizon placed in the middle of the picture. Anyway thats a minor thing, overall it is a really nice thing!

I had some problems uploading the technical details about this picture so here they are:

 

I took this photo a winter evening. It was very cold and dark as I walked over the fields. My track is visible on the photo. I only had my camera and a tripod. The light meter wasnt able to make a reading for the time needed to exposure, it just turned out f:3,5 and time = bulb, because the light was to low (the lens is quite slow f:3,5-6,3). I couldnt see a thing in the dark, so I just placed the camera on a tripod, and set the camera on aperture 5,6 and the focus on infinity. Actually, I wasnt able to see my tracks, and therefore they are in the picture. Beside of that, I didnt have a remote control for the camera, so I made 8 exposures of the motive on the same negative, lasting 30 seconds each, equivalent to one exposure on 4 minutes. Unfortunately I wasnt quick enough, and therefore the star strips is broken a couple of times. Anyway I think the result I good! What do You think?
