well I don't understand all that photo-mumbo jumbo...but I do understand creative writing words: "a memory of days long past soon to fade into oblivion." And after reading that, I like the picture.

Try keeping a little of the color? Maybe a little blue of the water or so. Oooh, try keeping only the little kid in color...faded just a little and the give just a little color to the rest of the picture...

Okie i'll stop mumbling. I like it!

I love how the sunlight is foggy/smoggy/dusty :) Makes the picture look even more like...I don't even know the words to describe it.

I have an old trunk at my house that looks exactly like this!

I think the cropping on the left side, should be out more...so you can see the entire...uh...clasp thingy? I'm also kinda interested in knowing what the words on top says?

But its a unique angle for this picture.

At first I thought, 'hey, thats really cool' but then after reading what you wrote and looking at the title, its an amazing picture.

I think, maybe instead of making the flowers on the hat stand out, try doing that necklace stand out more. Whats that look like?

I like the way the water is green in the front and more blue in the back...that really weird.

If you'll notice on this picture, the tree trunk is growing up at

the top, then you see some roots. Well if you look behind the roots,

lower down you can see that the tree trunk is regrowing...I guess

you'd call it.

And yes, I know that blue thing up there is a little distracting.

Thats my sister up there, I didn't know she was there at the time.

Thanks for the comments. I was kinda in a very emotional state when I took the picture. I just saw my grandfather's grave, the anniversary of his death is coming up; I guess I was really sad. But when I saw the flag flying like it was, it just made me proud bc my grandfather fought in WWII for our country. It my me proud or my ancestory and to be an American.

I think even if cropping it might make it look better, I think I want to keep it the way it is. So you can see the graves & flowers in the background, bc with it cropped, you kinda don't know where it is, right?

And as for the sky, well i really had no choice over what that was going to look like :)

fun! i think u cropped it too much on the sides & bottom. But the top...that looks good.

i do like the way its the hands aren't all symmetrical or anything...makes it unique.
