Thank you Alec... yes this was a little gem of a place... the monk was unbelievably hospitapal too... Maria on the left had met him before so we were shown around and invited to eat with him and a local family up the hill. there is a picture of this here...:

There was a relic too behind the reclining buddah that the Monk had described as particullary important; I know nothing more about it(any ideas?):

Out the back there is another room with smashed up relics and a hole in the roof - this was bombed in WWII by the Japanese as it house a printing press... the room now stands un-used.

I only hope that this place, the monk and the family on the hill are still here and are ok.

I can't remember the settings for this particular shot (they will be on my RAW data) but it was probably f16 - f12 with 20-30 secs exposure @ 100 ISO - the London Eye had stopped rotating for the night hence it being sharp.
