  1. i have updated the image above... only by reducind the saturation in the RED channel by -9. The picture has otherwise not been worked on other that the selected white balance during RAW processing (Fluorecent). I think the change in the tower is only subtle back makes a difference? i am attaching with this this original posting... (ie the display image is the updated version)

    regards

  2. thank you for your comments... yes i agree the tower could do with some slight improvments... i'll have a go tonight... all i did with this was change the white balance to fluorecent and this was the result... better than the other version already posted... i'll see what i can do with it...

    again many thanks...

    Ewan.

  3. i wasn't to keen on this at first but i really like it now... what put me off was the fact i wanted to see more of this magnificant building... it appears to be a piece of jigsaw without the rest of the puzzle... however the more i've looked at it the more it has grown on me... the shades of colour and the lines you've chosen do make this a stand-alone strong image with perfect framing... the drop-off of light from the reflection in the water leading down to the bottom right corner is particulary pleasing... i would say though again i think you could tweak a little bit more out of this in the post processing ie with a touch more detail in the stonework...

    good work dazzler...

    regards

  4. there are elements of this picture that i really like but alas as a whole i don't think it quite works for me...

It would have been great if the rope was further up in the frame. i don't know if its the way the picture was saved on here but the Barrier does appear a little soft?

I do like the long exp on the water and i think the colour change throughout the frame from bottom up is superb.
