  1. Like some wrote above: Me too, I am not too excited about how wide 28mm is, and lived with my 24/2.8 for years using colour slidefilm (Nikon F3T camera most often). Also used it a lot with short extension rings, for a wide-angle macro approach. On DSLR, the lens is markedly colour-fringing and weak in the corners .. and my small 20/3.5 does better in that respect! AND: Enjoy your new lens, escuta!
  2. Oct.24 .. Almost 20 years on the photo.net forum!
  3. O yes! the Nikon 12-24/4.0 .. I have that one too. On DX D2/300 it really is a decent performer .. 12Mpx camera's. It is an older model, which could be found rather .. cheap? Perhaps?
  4. No.. I eehh.. I try to meter 'average grey' and use the AEL button. Mostly in A (aperture priority). What about talk/rumours of the dedicated AEL button being removed from the upcoming D850???
  5. Thank you Gregory/Verena and Giangiorgio!
  6. I made a LOT of landscape panorama shots with 50/1.8 AF on D200 and D300 (mainly 2011-2012). Hand-held. With a bit of practice, that can result in regular quality images. That combination is still useable today - as is your D7000 - and I would recommend it. Stitching in (old) PS version, or otherwise. You get: wide, immersive landscape images with high resolution for pixel-peeping enjoyment.
