Nice composition Richard and great scene selection for IR light.

Fabulous shot, I love sky color repletion in foreground water while middle part remains dark. This is a fine shot Bevan, congrats.

Nice portrait Bevan, cute subject indeed. I like the way you managed DOF dragging attention straight to the face while keeping remaining body out of the interest Good work.
-
Nice composition, excellent choice of likely "grainy B&W outlay", it feels like Delta 400 look despite being digital.

Richard,
I'm sure scan is not reflecting and probably can't reflect how this picture looks like in real. It seems to me that this is one of your masterpieces, one of the best I saw you did using this method. Fine and delicate image, exquisite subject, perfectly dominated technique. I would love to hold it in my hands, thai you for sharing it.

Excellent tonal rendition in difficult light condition. Powerful shot.

Thank you all for your comments, I agree petals are overexposed, as I mentioned I had only simple G12 by hand. I have no idea what is the scientific name of this particular orchid, I know little about flowers anyway but this one was so extraordinary I could't avoid to publish it.
-
The most strange orchid I have seen ever found in Vilcabamba, southern
Ecuador in the private botanic collection of Mr. Tello. According his
information he brought this kind of extraterrestrial looking orchid from the
very last wild location he knows (no details about where it is of course)
where only some 20 of these orchids are still preserved. Enjoy it,
unfortunately I had just a simple snapshot camera by hand on this
occasion.

Richard,
Beautiful image, very nice wood textures and overall almost abstract feeling. One of your top studio images indeed, I like it very much.
-
Excellent composition Richard. I'm wondering if you shoot it on IR or it is a snow on the trees? Great work with DOF indeed.
-
Richard,
Another outstanding shot in the sea of mediocre junk flooding Photonet everyday. Great composition and excellent work with DOF. I like a fact there are still details visible in the jar shadow despite of relatively high contrast this image has. Thoughtful and fine-tuned work with light, wood texture, contrast and B&W tone rendition makes it on of you best images indeed. Congratulations.
P.S. Can you imagine this scene if you will have 6x6 tilt + shift camera??
-
Richard, I believe I know it.... What an expression in her face! If my wife will look at me that way I will be in big troubles.
-
Very well managed detail in highlights and shadows, technically perfectly done. Composition is also great showing only the necessary from both parts of the flower but still enough as to imagine entire flower. Fine work, gorgeous detail and tonal rendition.
-
Very nice moments and good work with DOF. Actually a quite nice bokeh of your lens, which one you used for this image?

Richard,
Fine IR work indeed. I like your composition, balance created between treetops and their shadows on the ground is balancing this image in delicate way. I believe without these shadows this image technically very well done will be a quite flat. Maybe just a slightly different angle which will eliminate these dark limbs in top-right corner of the image. Despite of this detail this is fine IR work, congratulations.

I agree this is spectacular image, beautiful scene and light and well managed extreme contrast you had to deal with. However, it look to me like you had some problems with vignetting? Looks like extremely wide-angle lens so i would be not a surprise but you can deal with it in post-process in PS or Aperture. On other side it drags viewer interest to the right spot - in to the center of the image. Division of the scene in the middle is actually appropriate in my opinion despite against "golden rules" however; works fine on this image. Very nice work, congratulations.

Richard, very well composed image, nice contrast of sky and the wallrock. It always amazed me what kind of bizarre stuff are people able to rid-off on the less imaginable sites and an effort they did in order to get that stuff there. I believe with far less effort they could drop it somewhere else and with way less damage to an environment.
-
Richard, what a spectacular image, almost abstract. Reduced tonal rendition makes it like a moonscape rather. Very nice job.
-
Looks like a sugar hill, almost surreal. Nicely done, almost texture kind of shot if I will not know where you took it.
-
I'm now wondering who is that guy screwing your photo Richard? Hope it was not me.
-
I believe you have a vignetting problem on this image. Otherwise interesting subject, I like that foggy atmosphere, makes me recall similar scenes in peruvian highlands. Well done.
-
Good photojournalistic shot. You got the moment and I can feel it as well like I was there. Well done, I like that detail that both cooks are smoking cigaret, very typical for Cuba indeed.

Interesting old machinery color rendition in IR light, beautiful scene, it is unfortunate leaves in foreground moved a bit due to a long exposure time. However, nice IR work indeed.
