  1. Sheldon, Thats a great question. A friend of mine and a person who was the PR person for the local city opera. About 10 years ago, calls me one day tells me one of the supporters widow wants to get rid of her husbands darkroom and all there. So we meet and I'm cleaning out and trashing most of the stuff, I open a couple of boxes find three Leica ll, 1932-34 years. With many other Leicas & items most new in boxes. Well I tell him about the find and he tells the widow. He ends up giving me all the items and I disposed of all the junk in the darkroom/garage. She was happy. He was happy. And of course I was happy and still have many of the items.
  2. Nice Comments about the Leica Vit, I used it with my m2s and m2x and thought everyone used them. Bought my first one in the late 60's. I would use it with M2 body/visoflex 3 and 65mm I picked this set up over the Nikon. It worked fine. I had a black one and gave it to a fellow shooter and wish he would return it today.....They cost new 56.00.

according to my research book by Ghester Sartorius, identifying Leica cameras basied on your ser number you have aLeica 1F red dial 15,786 were made. I have sold three of them price range would vary is there a lens etc. It is a sellable camera but also a keepable camera. Look at E-bay

  4. I have sold Leicas at the photo shows in Texas. The thing I always was in stunned about was when the buyer looked to see the dust on the lens elements. I'v got the uglyiest 50mm f1.1 chiped up and dusty and it's the best quality lens. Well any how remember buy low and sell high....always
