  1. Some old film, recently developed. Loring park, Minneapolis, MN, US, this past winter. The park-pond was frozen solid. It's strange to look at this image as we speak as the temperatures are near 40 Celsius right now in the Twin Cities (MP, 35 mm 'cron, HP5).
  2. Some old film was recently developed. Basketball court in Loring Park, Minneapolis, MN, USA under 50 cm of April snow. MP, 35 mm 'cron (IV), HP5.
  3. A couple of months ago one silver M7 0.72 came up for sale at my local camera shop. It was slightly used in nearly mint condition, price was better than anything eBay. I was short of money and decided to pass. Now I regret my decision but then again as I am aging I am really looking fro one with 0.58 RF magnification.
  4. I really hope this rumor is just a rumor. At the time of writing this both M7 and M7 a la Carte are available on Leica Camera web site.
  5. @don Harphold, how do you like the Ferrania film?
  6. Hello, Well the spring is finally upon us here in Minnesota, but abot a month ago we were slammed with nearly 2 feet of snow and it made the whole month of April a hellish experience. While I hated shovelling all that snow (backbreaking waste of time), Mirza absolutely loved it. Here is he just before the big snowfall, looking for snow to shovell. Here, he found some snow. I guess life is a beach for him, even in the winter. Leica MP, 35 mm Summicron (IV), some expired Fujifilm Velvia 100.
  7. Hello, I know there has been discussion regarding Leica repair shops in the USA and I - again - have to share a positive opinion with Mr. Youxin Ye. Recently I accidentally dropped a bag with my Leica in it. Initially, I didn't notice any problem until I tried to take pictures. There was something iffy going on with the lens. I could still take pics but the lens was not working at its 100%. I contacted several Leica recommended technicians including Youxin Ye to see if they are familiar with the problem. Mr. Youxin Ye responded but instead of usual "please send it here and this is the $$ fee just to look at the lens" he provided me with the repair advice. I followed his steps, and now my lens is working like before. And all this for free. Thank you Mr. Ye, again.
  8. MP, 50mm 'cron, Acros... and it's not Coke, just water :)

  10. arthur_mcculloch|2, yes, that's a selfie, in a dark-tinted store window. There was some reflection of the sun that provided a bit of a flash effect. Here is another variation of the same. I was testing a new (used) lens (35 mm Summicron IV) and I was trying to spend the roll of film as soon as possible. Even though it was sunny and dry, the temperatures were around 0 Celsius.
  11. I'm curious what you're selling, I might be interested in some lenses. So you can use this forum as a starting point too:) I've had both good and bad experiences with eBay. I've sold both Leica and non-Leica photographic equipment. As long as the sale was in the US everything went fine. I did have one buyer from China who tried to extort money after he received a lens from me. In the end it all worked out fine in my favor but I'm not going to sell expensive photographic equipment on eBay to international buyers again. Some things are ridiculously high-priced on eBay and if your price is competitive remember that you have to pay eBay10% and then 3% to PayPal. Craigslist is good way but for local and cash sales only. You're not going to make money there but I did use both for buying and selling Leica gear. You do have some more control over the sale process, but then again, it greatly depends on the demand and Leica gear can almost be considered niche market. This will also require more patience on your end. I've used both Rangefinder camera forum and sales forum on this site with success, so you should try those too.
  12. Mirza, contemplating his next mischief (MP, 50mm 'cron, Ektar)
  13. At Peacock Groove cycles, a half-finished frame by Erik Noren (Leica MP, 50 mm Summicron f/2, Fujifilm Pro 400H).
