Thanks,

I really appreciate your comments and questions. In particular, your comment about the badge to his left & being prominent, now looking at it - I might have toned it down. Great suggestion
Going B&W, was more of a printing decision than anything else, we used IPF 710 printer that prints incredible B&W, matched with the MOAB lasal gloss. The prints at 24X36 stood out.
The high contrast was a decision to bring the soldiers mood, although Tyrone Green is one of Canada's most experienced and decorated soldiers.

Thank you Nelson, its the first time I finish the image in this style. It was a the bloodiest looking sunset.

Hi There,
This is an image taken yesterday for an up and coming art show called
spirit and Vancouver.
I stitched three images, but am getting a little line in between the 2nd and
3rd image. How would I fix it on photoshop?
Please help?

Veterans Portrait Project was an art show for the Canadian Army
photographed by me and my great friend and Veteran Saun O'mara.

I have not requested a critique in a long time. Looking forward to your
reactions as I am about to shoot for an Arts Show

When do you capture your Zone? When you are 13, 20, 18? I believe that
everyone is an individual. Some people look their best at 13 others 20...
Michelle was at her Zone, do agree?

I have been honored the opportunity to be one of two photographers
capturing images of Veteran Soldiers of engagements performed by
Canadian Soldiers.
I learned so much throughout this process. One lesson is that while
some may not agree with the War's, most people honor our soldiers.
Thanks,
Carlos

Hi Robert,
I think you are onto something with this image. Very interesting seeing the lights cut through the fog. The colours are great as well.

An image of Vancouver's majestic Fireworks, last night.

Living beside Stanley Park, the most precious urban jungle is a treasure
itself. Being a photographer that captures people, their presence, and
Aura is an honour.
Last Sunday I was capturing ( photographing ), my greatest treasure and
her family.
Just as I finished the shoot, I found another wonderful treasure in Stanley
Park.
Venerable Achok Rinpoche the fourth incarnation of Achok Geshe
Sonam Chopel who was visiting our own beautiful Stanley Park in
Vancouver BC.
Venerable Achok Rinpoche stood out amongst all people, his wisdom,
heart and presence was a welcoming gift to my sensor. Once again I
was blessed with the opportunity to capture the Headshot of another
great person.
As a proud Vancouverite I wish Venerable Achok Rinpoche a great
Holiday in our city of Vancouver BC and a safe journey back to Tibeten
Colony, Clement Town ( India ).
Sincerely,
Carlos Taylhardat

Hi Jim,
I like the idea of your image and agree with getting up close to the grass and adding foreground information to this landscape.
Lately I have been dedicating much of my attention towards post-production work - photoshop.
Some of my feedback are as follows..
Consider straightening the horizon line, decreasing the amount of sky to about a quarter of the image to increase the value of the beach as the main focus point of your picture.
Thank you for your help to my image,
Sincerely Yours,
Ringo

I started using Photo.net in 2004 and was inputing images on the regular
basis. Somehow I find myself becoming a student of photography, again.

Good comment, as the photographer I shouldn't say that my own image is great! Looking for trouble in doing so? Thanks for the feedback.
I will reword my question, I was happy with this image, but it has to be watched and contemplated before being accepted. While people are watching so many images at once, how can we recognize certain images?
Thanks,
Carlos

This in my opinion is an image that is great if you look at it in detail.
However, it will not get your attention right away and it may be easily
dismissed and not considered.
Do you agree? Suggestions?
Thanks

I photographed this image yesterday using a reflector to control lighting, I
am testing my first full frame camera, Canon 5 d. I love it, and love the
results at high ISO.
Included in this image are shapes of lights in the forefront and colour
contrast.
Hope you like it,

I have sent my other image in color, this one is in B&W, which I wonder if
its more appropriate to be in B&W, since the fog deteriorates the color
quality anyways.
Your feedback is encouraged.
