Walking home from a full day of shooting headshots at my studio in downtown
Vancouver, I found this moment. It made me realize that being a professional
photographer at times robs me from photographing beautiful moments like this
one captured with my phone.

A bride to be
-
I captured this image in my studio yesterday for two clients who had just
became engaged.
-
I was returning home from a Christmas Event. The ocean was calm that
it looked like a mirror and the night was cold and clear. I didn't feel like
photographing at 1 am on my way home from photographing 6hrs, but my
creative senses could not refuse this opportunity.
This image is a stitch of 4 HDR's - not my usual style, what do you think?

Have always been fascinated with the First Nation culture. Coming from
Venezuelan heritage I have European blood mixed with Pre-Hispanic
blood as well. Thanks to my native genes I look younger than my age, I
wished we had honoured that part of our heritage.
William is a proud Warrior with a strong spirit, captured during one of my
favourite shoots a couple of years ago.

I understand the general consensus that this isn't a traditional headshot, which is one of the reasons why I added to photo.net, the other reason is that she was crying when describing her GrandMother's influence, it was real. I added this headshot to the cover of my facebook page because its different. Unfortunately, most people lose sight of the image, when they see it - thinking that it would be a one dimensional image.
Thanks,
Carlos

Love the portrait, wouldn't call her an Amazon Indian, that is old fashioned name that degrades natives. We have replaced the word Indian to native people.

I rated you a 7 because its different and works great with the model. Really enjoyed the lighting, framing and model.
-
Outstanding, she seems lovely, trusting and comfortable. Thank you for sharing.

I like the model, and I like her provocative expression. I find the background crowded, I wonder if you might be more successful by darkening the background.
-
I think your technique is great, but am not sure about her pose, it seems posed. Do you ask the model questions about her life and inspire to pose naturally or do you tell her how to pose?

This is one of the four portraits we picked for Jordan's firs modelling
audition.
-
Its a little different, for some reason this image doesn't work small, but
when its enlarged. I really like it, its different - which is why I love this
pic, what do you think?
-
I am wondering what is your opinion on Actor's headshot.
Can she use a portrait with a tear or should she chose a regular portrait
without tears?
During her session my client was speaking about her Grandmother who
offered her love and safety.

I am starting a portfolio of images taken by my cell phone LG G, these
images are not touched up in photoshop and do not leave the cell
phone.
Thanks,
Carlos

This is one of my favourite images I have ever taken, but am afraid that
it will be missed understood because its different, hard to see as it really
is and its not sex. Have a look at this image as large as possible.
It is an HDR of 3 frames times a 7 frames stitch to create a compilation
of 21 images rendered together.
Thanks,
Carlos

My Father was a Man admired by many;
Some admired him for his achievements,
others admired him for his charms,
his passion,
his rank.
But what I admired the most about my Father was his Love.
His Love for humanity,
His Country,
His Friends,
His Family and
most of all His love for me.
I lost a great Man,
a best friend,
I lost my Papi.

This Portrait was taken just at Sunset. I wanted to capture the model
playing with her hair and wanted HDR. But it was too fast for HDR as
she needed to move constantly.
-
Thank you Pierre for the complement on my image.
Stephen, you are right about the lines, I will blur them out, somewhat as not to distract the subject matter.
Regards,
Ringo

What do you think?

I punched the blue to add a complementary colour and punch out the
model. Somehow I feel like I could have done more,
What do you think?

I don't want to sound defensive, but its flat because of the fog. If you look at it larger it makes a lot more sense, I know its popular to have high contrast, but don't think it applies to foggy scenes - I think.

Please make sure to click enlarge to see the image a little better.

Ringo
