It translates "clean station, convenient for all".
"Centrale" litterally means "Central" as in "Central station" however here is better translated with "Convenient" as in "Accessible".
This is a very good documentary photo, I presume you were aware of the meaning of the writing when you took it.
Thanks for sharing.

Very well executed.

Makes me think of a close up of human hair. This is not a criticism. The almost abstract final effect is very intriguing indeed.

Interesting pattern. Well spotted.

I prefer the one on the right as the stones are acting as a frame and not try to provide foreground interest (interesting they are not). Possibly a further crop could include the foremost stone in its entirety but then it would become a photo of the stone. Also the one right has more depth by opening up more towards the trees.
Cheers,

The horizon is level. Easy to check. But the cloud makes it look as if it is sloping. Nothing you could do about that. What I find strangely appealing is the fact that the viewer is left with little clues with regard to the actual scale of the image. If you crop away the sand at the left it could easily look like an aerial view of a Scottish lock. In fact, can I see Nessie on the bottom right? Good effort.

Bella foto, Maria Pia.
Ciao e complimenti.

Henry, I like the colours here. I think I see what attracted you to this scene in the first place. The mist at the top also has a dreamlike quality. Behind the trees I can guess that there is a house, but the angle of view that you have chosen doesn't allow the full view of the building and therefore doesn't really add anything to the image, IMHO.
By cropping the image in half, the left half of the picture IMO makes a much more pleasing photo.
Ciao.

"It is an accidental exposure!!!!! That's my whole point!!!! Did you read the explanation above?"
Well, I did read the explanation above. So, what exactly is your point? Are you saying that this is automatically a bad photo because YOU know you took it by accident? Are you saying that the only merit behind any photo is given by the intention of the photographer? Good intentions = Good photos? You clearly have preconceived ideas about what deserves high ratings and/or positive critique. The system is certainly not perfect, far from it; but please explain what gives you the certainty that in a perfect system this photo should have received less critiques and/or lower ratings than the rest of your portfolio? What exactly makes you think that in a perfect system everybody should have recognised this photo as an accident? Finally, for what it matters, what makes you think that in a perfect system people should read your explanations before expressing their feelings towards an image that has been offered for rate/critique?
Amicably,

Powerful image. Very well done.

John, I think that the idea could work although the lighting is a bit harsh and the wristwatch must come off, IMHO.

Excellent work Piotr. Original subject, flawless interpretation and production. Bravo.

This solitary hill has always been dear to me
And this hedge, which prevents me from seeing most of
The endless horizon.
But when I sit and gaze, I imagine, in my thoughts
Endless spaces beyond the hedge,
An all encompassing silence and a deeply profound quiet,
To the point that my heart is almost overwhelmed.
And when I hear the wind rustling through the trees
I compare its voice to the infinite silence.
And eternity occurs to me, and all the ages past,
And the present time, and its sound.
Amidst this immensity my thought drowns:
And to flounder in this sea is sweet to me.
(L'infinito, Giacomo Leopardi)
