Strong mood and excellent composition
-
I like the idea. Works for me. Your crop leaves in the frame just enough to think about the rest.
-
Nice colors and well captured.
-
The cropping seems OK. Would be hard to find the way to improve it.
-
Interesting and original implementation of a rather common idea. I like the composition. The image would proably benefit from a little bit darker and more saturated skies. The lights in the background (sky) nearly lost detail and seem to be a little bit distracting.
-
I like the composition and the idea. Perhaps, the tone curves and/or colors can be adjusted so that the sun in the background becomes more apparent.
-
Excellent photo! Even critically geared comments add to its originality.
"...What does the man have to do with the road? Is him a runner..."
This could be another version of the caption.

Interesting composition. Nice dark reds and good use of DOF. Glass is one of very frequently photographed subjects but your glass study 1 and 2 create very original mood.

No, it's on the Dauphin island.

Just the right amount of the optical distortion keeps the viewer guessing.
A good example of a predecessor of digital alterations.

Very well composed. Sharp with nice tones and colors. Droplets are becoming one of my favorite subjects ;-))
Many other beautiful photos in this portfolio.

Very beautiful photo.
As a suggestion towards further improvement I would recommend playing with tone curves to eliminate the vertical lines in the background on the left. Attached above is an illustration of the possible result.

Thanks for the input. My further plans inlcude similar shots but with various (perhaps more interesting) objects in the background.
And yes, those dropets not only look like eyeballs but also refract and focus pretty much like eye lenses. In other words, they have their own vision ;-))

It's interesting to see how the recent changes on PN affect the
number of ratings ;-))
Any comments appreciated.

Thanks again for stopping by and leaving detailed comments. But where is the rating? :-)) Well I assume it's 3/3. Anyway, I don't mind this kind of criticism at all. Hopefuly, one day I will happen to download an image that will be up to your taste and standards.
As for my comment about "finding the solitude...", I was hoping that the irony is rather obvious. Of course, I haven't found much solitude there. I should've also mentioned that it was the Bikers week when the photo was taken. So this leads to another version of the tittle: "Some sort of solitude can be found even on Daytona Beach in the middle of the Bikers week"...

I appreciate the ratings and comments.
Unfortunately, the shapes of the two dogs playing on the left became barely recognizable after the re-sizing and jpeg compression required for the uploading. I agree with André that the presence of the dog(s) is essential but it I could not quite pull it out :-(
I also agree that the sharpness of the image is not extraordinary.Perhaps, that's all what a Canon 28-105 can give at its wide angle end (I tend to avoid any digital sharpening). For this reason I've switched more recently to an old SMC Takumar 3.5/28 for majority of my wide angle shots.

I think the photo is very beautiful as it is. But I am wondering if it might still benefit from even more diffuse light. In particular, I would try to soften the reflection in the leftmost apple.
-
Any critique and ratings welcome. Thank you.

Nice mood.

I like the idea and the compistion a lot.
I think it would be nice to have some details in the background a bit sharper.
