This was taken at the Indo-pak border-crossing in india: Crowds of
Indians gather at the border for the daily border closing ceremony.
Generally a light-hearted affair, but theres lots of jeering,
shouting, waving of the indian flag and singing of patriotic songs
while the guards on both sides try to out-do one another with the
most impressive marching.

This is great - my only comment would be to have had slightly more forground to balance the pic -
your portfolio is wonderful by the way - you have captured the essence of India, great atmosphere and i especially like the rawness of some of the images.

The monks seem to have had a window of about an hour to dish out tea
to the thousands of lamas, monks and pilgrims - in the only way
possible: Lots of yelling running and narrow misses - and tea was
flying everywhere!

The Kalachakra - The Dalai Lama calls for an intermission and tea-
break around lunch, and hundreds of monks, all holding silver kettles
filled with yak-butter tea start pouring out of the kitchen... more
to come when I get time to scan the negs/slides - check out my
kalachakra presentation too!

I was trying to capture this great beam of sunshine when these two
women who were walking by, were startled by a man who started yelling
at them. I wonder what was said to yield such a startled look?
