Great photo, good tones, i like quite everything about it.

What do you mean by "kiev 88 MLU"? You used really mirror lockup on this? Was it staged or just capturing the moment?

experimenting 2: I put the neg strip on a lightbox, under a

microscope. Held an olympus camedia c-4000 at the occulair, magified

the image with the microscope (approx. 10x, i think) and

photographed. Inverted in PS. Handheld i managed to get sharp grains

(neopan1600 has plenty, and big ones too). The digital noise can be

    seen a little bit.

    Critiques/comments/ideas are more than welcome.

well, dunno about his photography, but he should take care at least to correctly spell his "name" ...

Nice photo, by the way. There's something weird going on at the corner of her mouth.

  1. The berry i could miss (looks a weird berry anyway). Otherwise a great photo;p colours, perspective, the tilting, model, all.

Now to your question, - well, dunno about those flowers landscapes and birds that "sell", however, what I think is that there is two kind of "market" for nudes. One is for the more explicit, (read: porn), which certainly does sell, but this is not "good enough" for that. The other one is not a real market; lots of people do like this kind of photography but not too many will buy it - our society stops us hanging it on the wall or using it at work as a computer desktop image etc. Of course, there are exceptions, but not too many.

    Ugh. Nice...light! ;)

The shadow on the pillow, right, is a bit weird. I also dislike her lipstick, but that's just my weird taste:)

The rest is nice, i'd say.

  2. graphically it's a very hard image, i can almost touch the charcoal :) I like it. If you don't mind grain, are really concerned about the iso100 limit, and you really like low light photography, why don't you try a cheap old rangefinder with fast lens and fast film? (just an idea from my own experience)

Yes, Michael, that would be the idea. However, I do know these people fairly well, so I am quite biased I'm afraid (that's the reason I put these photos up to pn and ask for comments). Thanks for dropping by!
