Then there's the Speed Graphic being used from a recon planein Battle of the Bulge, and when they land , Henry Fonda hands one film holder over and says to develop them right away. He gets back maybe a dozen prints. from one film holder which was not a magazine type.

Is this the right section for questions about subminiature cameras, Minox, Minolta 16, etc.?

Well, just when I least expected it, I have acquired three "new" old Pentax SLRs: An SF1, SF1n, and SF10. And they all work! Now looking them over to see if I can tell what actual diferences there are between them. So far, the only obvious difference is that the SF10 has a catch clasp for the battery compartment, whereas the other two have a screw-on battery holder. Anybody playg with these beasts? They sure are heavy for Pentax.

FWIW, the Elmar lenses will take the same screw-in filters that fit an Argus C3. ain't that a hoot

Today I hauled out my now antique Bronica S. Even shot a few pix with it. I hope the shots of my granddaughter in her trampoline cage come out OK.

I regularly use the Leica model c circa 1931. That makes it older tha me. But it works well, it fits in my pocket, and 35mm film is stil readily available. The f3.5 5cm Elmar is nickel plated and uncoated, but otherwise identical to the Elmar on my iiif.
Wonderful instrument, which I found at a flea market.

Saw lots of Fall colors last week, driving down Idaho Rte 21 on the west side of the Sawtooth range.Snow on peaks in some places, and lots of changing leaves.

I have a number of Exaktas, and they all have the shutter release on the left, except for the TwinTL, which has a release on BOTH sides.

Does anyone have the info on the differences, if any, between these two late model Pentax film SLRS?

Isn't Willoughby's still there, near Penn Station?

Portrait of an age: the work of Erich Salomon. He started with Ermanox cams, but then moved on to Leica. He was murdered by the Nazis.

When I want to have fun with a photo snob, I pull out my 1931 Leica C, which still works just fine. I did have to rig some fishing tackle to get a strap onto the case rivets, but that works fine also.

As an interesting side note, the Bolsey C TLR also had an eye-level rangefinder, which shows its derivation from the B series Bolseys.

I have probably said this sometime before in here, but when I go as a guest, I take one camera, usually my Leica iiif, and shoot one roll of color neg. Before I leave, I give that roll to the happy couple and tell them that I got the pix that their hired pro didn't get. That's my wedding gift.
Never had the roll handed back!

So many marvelous sports pix. This weekend, I shot the "Rooster Tail" at the Lucky Peak Dam, east of Boise. A stream of water that shot about 150 feet in the air. Just wish it had been more sunny so there might have been rainbow traces. But the stream of water was spectacular.

Do not recognize him, but the camera is definitely and Exakta of the VX variety. Can't be sure which model. But they all had the trapezoidal body. and the left hand film advance lever.

Sure looks like an Exakta bayonet mount. The two aperture rings indicate that it is a "preset" lens. YOu set the shooting ap before you take a pic, and set the detented ring where you want it. Then just before shooting, but after you have focused, you turn the other ring to get the preset ap.

Stony Brook is a public, i.e. State university, so the entirr campus is public. Second, the RA had no authority to order you to delete the images. Third, get a lawyer.

And mind you, I say that as an alumnus.

I bought my first Leica, a used iiiF at Central Camera in Chicago. Got my 2nd unit, a model i©, circa 1930, at a flea market. and my current last Leica I got, also used, as a remnant of the Beloit Corp. liquidation.

Great stuff. I love B&W, and I love Montreal. My most fave city in North America after New York City, where I was born, farther back than I care to mention.
Keep up the good work!

All of my Leicas were bought used. Only way to buy overpriced equipment. But they all still work fine. And the oldest one is older than I am. It's a 1930 model i©. No RF, just a VF
and an f3.5 50mmElmar, almost identical to the Elmar on my iiif

I took my Dad's old Retina IIa into the shop today. It needed work. The shutter cocking/film advance no longer worked; and it needed a CLA, esp. for the fungus on the lens.

SW Wisconsin, esp. Grant or Crawford counties. Hills and colorful trees.
