I do like the idea and the colors. However the unsharpeness due to moving the camera is not so nice. I hope you can redo the shot with a tripod or other support.
-
You have captured some beautiful colors, and contrast between the colors! In my opinion, the stream in the front does make the photo to busy. I would suggest to crop it, just to the foot of the big rock. I think that will make the photo even more beautiful.

A wonderful shot! The only small thing that bothers me is the hard light in her neck, while the light in her face is so soft. This draws the attention a little more to her neck. I keep switching between her eyes and her neck.

Nothing but compliments! You nailed the problem razor sharp :) I think I'll start my back up now.

Strong composition, good catch! For my taste however the sky is a tad too dark, and I would have expected the grass to be a little more goldish or yellow.

Maggi,
Would it have been posible to get a little closer, so that the fence wires would not be on the photo?

Same spot 6 months later.

You make me miss Yosemite! I always loved to go there. This is close to the Wanowa hotel right?

Valery, Beautiful shot. However I think there is actually too much contrast. The front side of the model is very light, and the side facing the camera is relative dark, resulting in a strong line over her face. If you have the change to retake the photo my advice is to try give more light from the direction of the camera, so that the whole photo can be a bit softer, while still keeping the beautiful high key!

Henri, thank you for your opinion. I am glad people also react when they think it is not that good!
I could increase the details, like in the attached version, but for me it looses the magic of a snowy day. There was almost not contrast when I took the photo. There was still snow in they air. And for me the trees are standing out, and not just as a grey blob. I invite you to have a look at an A3 print, quand vous serez a Grenoble. It looks better on a large print...

Jim, the whole photo is too grey for my taste. I did a quick level correction to show the posibilities.
Edit: I forgot to tell that I like the photo!

I am trying to find some suggestions for improvements, but I really would not know. The only thing I can say is that I would hang it in my living room if I could.

The composition is interesting. I think you can make the results better if the colors and or contrasts of the different photos would match better. For example the snow of the dune in the center is different from the snow in the front. While clearly there is a lot of light on the snow in the front but still it is almost black.

I think the current enlargement is not that bad. Makes me wonder how the full large version looks like.

Congrats with you full page in Photo! I see that I am not first one to notice though...

I thought it looked like the handle of a sword... Nice.

This is a repost of a photo submitted 2 days ago. Changed to B&W, to
get rid of blue cast (thans Vlad!). And changed the photo so that the
contrast between snow and clouds/falling snow would be larger without
changing the high key nature of photo too much.
-
Henri, after looking in details I think they are jpg artifacts.
-
je aime cette photo, except for the noise in the black of the sky.

A beautiful symmetry of the 2 trees and the mountains in the background

yep, Dune right? To bad to hear about your HD.

I hope you can fix it. But I do not understand the comment about my name? What association do you have with my name?
