  1. I like how he is leaning heavily on what is the visual diagonal, making the leaning feel more heavy.

Another instance of more heavy is Cartier-Bresson's Rue de Cléry, where the woman's feet are both on the ground, the baby and stuff she is carrying weigh her down, and the bright sky triangle plunges down to weigh upon her as well.

    Nice job.

P.S. Don't look at my images on here, I have since actually taken some good photos, heh. Gotta update this site sometime.

This is amazing. The composition, the visual implication of mushroom caps for the nudes...

Usually nudes in nature are beautiful and pictorialist, but this conjures mental metaphors beyond the beauty.  Well done.

    Lovely image, nice tones!

I prefer backgrounds that aren't that drapey/textured for my pregnancy photos, because it's all about the figure, the beauty of the motherly form as a symbol of ongoing life and all.

But then, it's totally valid to prefer the other way, making the figure in context of fabric.

    Either way, great capture!

The clarity and DOF are amazing. I feel like I can touch it.

Love to see a really nice silver gelatin print of this.

    Now this is stellar.

Really interesting lighting, great pose in and out of the light, interesting outfit, staring back across the photo for good comp, great mood, good colors all over, nothing mundane or distracting in the whole image. The couch/chair even cups the corner perfectly.

One of my favorites of yours.

Iconic, strong image... I just wishe there weren't mundane details in the lower left.. it would look like a perfect magazine photo.... The wall is fine, but the couch needs ta move. :)

    Reeeally cool lighting and idea.

I like the interesting, challenging pose, the unique outfit, the stare from a dark form, the elements in the photo which both ground it but fit.

Nice work. I like your darker, challenging-the-camera compositions.

I concur about the thumb, have a hand there or nothing, but the image overall is captivating. This sense of dreaminess, of doll-like beauty, might be a good start to the narrative that descends to the betrayed, smoking, strap-fallen, uneven posed woman of your later work.
