  1. very nice shots Kevin ! the second pic looks like it's somewhere near Fortress Hill or North Point ? Happy Valley maybe ? yeah ! you captured the feel of that room in the last shot (boy asleep) , made me feel tired too . hehehe !

those little Rollei 35s are fantastic cameras , i still have my Rollei 35 SE that produces unbeleivable results. cheers ! PC

  2. yeah Chris, am also wondring why , wasn't it simpler the way it was before even with the EOS 5 (film camera) that has that close to infrared AF assist light (but doesn't fire the AF assist light on the EX flashes tho). Well , can't have them all huh? there's always a catch somewhere. PC
  3. I'm not really sure the 380EX supports preflash , i have one but never have expected it to do pre flash (modeling flash) , coz it's an old design (but then again i could be wrong) , i also have a 550EX that does modeling/pre flash. anyway, most of them knowlegeable photographers here might have the answer, sorry ! couldn't be of any help. 4. i think i'll buy the old 18-55mm none IS , saw off the butt , so i can use it on my old trusty D30 , that way i get a semi wide zoom. i had the 17-35mm L lens but sold it thinking i could afford the 16-35 L to pair with my newly purchased 30D, but got the EFS 17-85mm IS instead. I know the D30 is passe , but it still takes great pics and doesn't clutter my hard drive, so i still use it to take pics of Family and Friends that i could easily send thru email. PC
  5. I just don't put a battery in or use the built in meter on my Rollei 35 SE , am just lucky exposure wise in most of the shots i get out of this wonderful little camera.

too bad, my scanner don't work anymore , and i just didn't buy a new one , coz i mostly have to shoot Digital now. PC

  6. just like what Mark Hansen said. also excercise the shutter before putting another roll of film in, and when you shoot, try and use your palm (which ever is free) as a lens hood to block stray light from hitting the uncoated lens, for a bit more contrast on your shots.a tripod would really help too. Cheers ! PC
  7. should be no problem, but yeah, if ever you go to Shenzhen , place your camera bag in front (not like a backpack) and never leave it unattended. have fun shooting, i live in Hongkong and there a lots of photo opts here : TST area near the sea, walkway to the Stars,Hk park,Ocean Park,Hk Disneyland, etc. Enjoy !
