Excellent start Angie. Good for you for skipping right to body studies. It's like jumping into the deep end of the pool. Your light in all three photos I've seen shows that you have an eye for this work already. Keep going. I want to see your progression.

Nice lines to this, Arun. I'd be tempted to run the dodge tool (set on highlights) up the border of the body and the background...just to add a touch more contrast.

Love it. I've seen quite a few "girl in knotted rope" photos, but this one stands out because of the red. The light is wonderful...especially the little accent on her right side so she doesn't disappear into the black background. Well done, as always.

Not a window, John, but a large softbox placed quite close to her. Some secondary light was added behind to camera right. Jasmine is a charming young aspiring actress who will be attending school in NYC soon. I hope to photograph her again before she leaves this area.

Window light with a black background. Can't get much easier.

I was in Toronto today at the Ansel Adams exhibit...if you haven't been yet you should go, if only to see the large print of Moonrise over Hernandez, NM. Incredible.
