Yes, the colors are nice... every Christmas season I am overwhelmed with greens & reds. Why did you take this photograph? For the colors?

 

Honestly... most photos can't carry itself on the colors alone. There isn't really anything interesting about this image at all. Frankly it's a poorly composed photograph.... maybe next time try framing your subject in a corner instead of the center of the frame. Maybe more DOF to make your subject (honeysuckle) standout from the background more.

Hi there Gary! I see you are relatively new to photo.net. Welcome! I looked at your portfolio. You are my kind of photographer.... hobbyist who shoots from the hip, right?

 

This picture is ok. Not as good as some of your other portraits you have listed. For me there is too much going on here especially in the background. Your DOF is good.... but the angle (composition) of your subject is off for me... the stripes of her shirt, the lines of the DVDs, the lines of the door/cabinet behind her head... the opposite way she leans. Too busy. Can you see what I mean?

 

Her expression is priceless however :)

This looks like my neck of the woods. Love the IR here. I didn't even notice the boat in the thumbnail. Love all your IR works... really nice. I'd like to get into IR.

I like this shot... has great composition. A little too harsh on the sun light... but I like the way the reflection off the water highlights her face a bit... so it works. Nice catch!
