Chris... the vignetting is what happened when I auto contrast in PS. I think it's lens distortion actually... but I like it.

Tophie... thanks... not too difficult, just happened to be a perfect, clear evening; From my back porch using my 70-300mm lens.

Wow... what an intriguing angle... And the way you have processed this... very well done. Intriguing indeed! Nice job, Chris!!!!

Hey Kevin... thanks for checking in. You're right, I need to work with more angles with this. I will re-shoot sometime again and maybe this time I'll slap on my short lens and venture out onto the track. I was working with my film camera and was being 'film selfish'. Now that I've upgraded and am all high-tech with digital, I can go all out without the conscience of wasting film.

Very nice image. Fabulous even. Love the hues of blue and sharp contrasting yellows. I personally like the sand... gives it a little texture. Lighting could probably be improved upon, but all in all... Well done!

Oh I see... taken with B&W... then yes, that would be hard to do... LOL. Well there you go... something for the future ;)

He definitely looks snug as a bug. Jonah... very unique name that you don't hear very often... very biblical. Anywho... let me make one suggestion... instead of black & white everything but the cap try lowering saturation levels on everything but the hat. Lower till it's almost black and white. But what that does is leaves just the slightest color hints in everything else. See my example. Just a suggestion... may not want to do it on this specific pic but at least mess around with the idea. May come in handy on another photo.

Oooooo, Ahhhhhhh, nice! Love your duo-tones here. I think you chose correctly by keeping a hint of color here instead of straight up, black and white. Some pictures it just works better duo... know what I mean, Vern?
