Tried to get these crabapples and keep the sky beyond it blue.

This picture is juggler T.J. Howell at the Circus World Museum in
Baraboo, Wisconsin.

...I was fortunate to get this shot. I timed it by listening for the explosions, then holding down the shutter and praying a lot. ;) I could not believe when I saw the heart-shaped burst -- and when I saw I caught the exposure, I was very pleased. I don't think I CAN get multi-exposures except with Photoshop, and traffic was rotten and I got there as the show started, so I just started snapping.

The ladybug in contrast to the black cat is wonderful. The sharpness on the nose is great as well as the gradual softening as we get farther back from the insect. Nice job leaving the ladybug as the only color on this (I assume, possibly incorrectly, from Momo's eye color that the rest of the picture was desaturated?)

I was impressed by the size, and by the sharp relief of the carvings on my picture...
What your picture conveys is a sort of dreamscape where, yes, it seems plausible that a watersprte lives. The reflection? movement? at the lower right does seem like a fairy flitting across the surface.

Thanks. :)

You can almost hear the cat's thoughts here...
"The train will move for me." :)

What I had intended on taking it was to convey its massive, domineering presence and to capture the martial sculpture on the front of it. I can see now that that was not, in fact, what others perceive.
Thank you, Thierry, for your help.

Looks good enough to eat. :)

I do not really understand what you are trying to get at. Perhaps I am misunderstanding, but these very short comments really make it difficult to see what you might be trying to tell me. You may not intend it, but it seems very much as if you are annoyed with me?
I know what I think about this picture. What specifically do you think is wrong with it, and how do you think it might be improved?

Very eye-catching.
-
a little dark on the left side....
-
Nice and sharp -- good catch.
-
Very pretty!

You're right about Brian's being stunning! :) Will experiment and see what I can do.

Perhaps you could enhance the feeling of loneliness by cropping out the figure in the background and leaving the dog alone on the ice.... or doing the opposite and cropping the dog out. :) Might do for two separate variants on this.

This is interesting -- it reminds me of a nightmarish version of those dolls that nest, one within the other. Well done.

"What was the point in taking this picture?"
-
The point was capturing some interesting architectural detail.
-
Lovely bursts.

The colors are rich and vibrant, and the way that the bananas are arranged is also interesting -- they look like creatures that might get up and walk or fly away while no one's looking.

This is my first attempt at fireworks. Constructive criticism?

BEAUTIFUL. Great detail on the water droplets, the curve of the stem brings us back into the colorful petals. :) I'm jealous.
EXPLOSION!!!
