To me, although nice, I think that this is about half to one stop under exposed. The top of the sail begins to blend in with the background which I think detracts from the vividness of the focus.

Thanks Glen. This was scanned on an Epson perfection 2400. On the neg was scanned. I think it is about 300 dpi.

Depth of field is too shallow for the whole bench, and the image is a little too large to be viewed effectivley.
-
Thanks Simon. It was a bit of a shot in the dark.... so to speak. I was learning about the B+W scene and I'm still experimenting with it. I haven't quite the knack of it yet.
-
Thanks Simon. This was my first roll of B+W film, and it was VERY clumsy. I had it developed at the Mall, and was a little naieve about the composition.
-
Was he kicking the flowers, or the ball. Just a shame it is not in the shot.

By missing the top of the wheel makes me feel a little empty. Sorry, but I would like see it.
-
Very nice shot. I might be inclined to loose the to 20% just to make the scene a little more dramatic.
-
Too much reflection for me. Maybe a polarised would have aided in reducing that. Otherwise quite nice.
-
I realsie it may be a little cliche, but a longer shutter speed will have given longer spark trails, for effect. Otherwise it is a little plain.
-
Just brilliant..... would have prefered Anna K though....
-
Interesting, but bizzare.... To me there is no real sense of scale. Just a thought.

Unfortunatley the climber is lost in the background. Or is not obvious enough. Not a bad shot though.
-
Sure, thanks. It's hard to realise that at the time, but it is a little too cliche. So now I have learned my lesson.
Thanks

The image is way too big, you need to learn to reduce the size to make the image more viewable.

Wow, great action shot....
I Love Macro work, and you've done well here.

I'm a Big fan of macro work, but I have a little trouble getting the lighting right.
Love your Pic, great DOF and good lighting.

I appreciate the thought, thanks.....

Well I could ask for a sky of no colour at all...but hey that is what I had on the day.
If you look, this wasn't manipulated.
-
I guess I used the filter 'coz I have it. Just needed to see it's effect. I know it can be over used.
-
Maybe a little distracting, but I had to use as it was there.
Thanks.
