  1. John,

I really like reading why/how/what you see in your photos. It really provides an insight into what you are seeing through the lens. It has helped me learn about street photography as well as guided my own efforts.

    Thanks for sharing.

Chad, I agree with you on the monitor and neck all blending together as well as you comment that this photo is very close to being something. Thanks for taking the time to look.

Geoff, I's new to the whole "street photography" scene so yeah, I was hoping that she wouldn't turn around and ask me what the heck I was doing. Thanks for looking.

At first I wanted to sharpen the tat on her neck, then I thought, hey,

that's what makes the photo, a fading love tat. She's on a publilc

computer surfing the web and I hope the viewer wonders what she's

viewing. The framed picture in the background is somewhat distracting,

but hey, that's street photography and I needed this angle to get the

    love tat. Thoughts, critiques welcome.

Is she legit? I usually give the homeless the benefit of doubt and assume that they are truly in need, which, I think in most cases is the truth. What's that saying, let God sort em out? Anyway, this is obviously a great photo due to all the discussion it has generated.

    Cheers!

  2. The creativity of this sign caught my eye, it insinuates that if they can

get enough money they will be on their way to North Carolina. I tried to

crop it so that the viewer has to work to determine if is the husband or

wife holding the sign...that and their eyes were closed when I took the

    shot.

    Thoughts?

No, didn't give em any money, the light changed and I had to boogie.

The red roses make the shot, too bad the contrast of B&W is so extreme (no details in the coat and the white over exposure at the top) but that's street photography for ya. Nice job. 5/5
