A beautiful image. The sky and the rocks set a mood for me-put a sweater on.
Congratulations, Phil

Thanks for your viewing and comment. I think adding a border is a good idea especially with the light gray that Photonet uses. Fiddling with it in Photoshop and adding a 30 pixel wide black border helps with the foreground appearance. Thanks again, Phil

Thanks for your viewing and comments. I think Death Valley got a year's worth of rain the week I was there. The downsides were flash floods and road closures, the upside was some great skies. Thanks again, Phil

Wonderful colors and composition. I prefer the cropped version. Congratulations, Phil

Thanks for viewing and comment. A great tranquil time, before the sun lit up the valley floor and the dunes- the image was a bonus. Thanks again, Phil

Thanks for viewing. This is an example of an image which isn't great but brings back an emotional experience. Thanks again, Phil

Thanks for viewing and your comment. I think your comment about getting a little more of the background color does improve the image. Thanks again, Phil

Thanks for viewing and comment. A cooperative sky sure makes a difference.

Thanks for viewing and your kind comments. The clouds were awesome that morning. They were the remnants of a storm the evening before in Death Valley that caused flash floods as well as the beautiful sky.

Thanks for viewing and comments. We had some great skies this trip.

An unique experience; a massive storm in the north part of Death
Valley. My first thought is that the image is a little soft because of
focus issues during the time exposure; I think in retrospect the
violence of the thunder had a lot of things shaking-including me. Your
comments are always appreciated. Phil

Very nice image. I like the idea that you left the power line and pole I think the vertical format works well. For me, I would like to see the foreground area a little lighter. The scene provides a sense of place that I'm sure will "wear well with time". Congratulations, Phil

Wonderful image. The result of the composition, color and subject evokes the thought of really being there. Congratulations, Phil

Beautiful image and colors. I think the cropped version is a slight improvement, although the centering of the house wasn't a problem for me (maybe because of the leading line provided by the flowers). Congratulations, Phil
