Hi Bryan
I have that combo - it's fine. Lens glass is pretty good, it's built like a tank. I have a couple of Sigmas too, but the build quality is nowhaere as good as the Tokina. Be aware - it's a very heavy item!

See <a href="https://www.gammatech.com/html/recording35.htm">this</a> site for good instructions on size, uploads etc.

Correction - I just looked - 'Irfanview' will also batch convert filetypes.
-
Irfanview will do all of the above as a batch, ecxept the conversion from tif/jpg/tif, which AFAIK is a 'save as' function, one at a time. Also, have a look at <a href="http://www.breezesys.com/BreezeBrowser/index.htm">Breezebrowser</a>
which does all the above plus batch converts file types in its 'proofs menu, and has some nifty HTML templates for laying out the galleries.

If the cost of slides bothers you, look at it this way - from B&H Fuji Sensia is &3.09 and the mailer is $3.99. Add in the $0.74 for postage and it'll cost you a total of $7.82, or about 22c per image. Yes it will take about 10 days, but if you're cosidering mail in service for prints...
Provia (pro version of Sensia) is $3.99 - both are fairly neutral films. You'll pay less per roll if you order 20 at a time.
-
Consider slide film - processors don't mess it up,(often!) you get excactly what you shoot, you can still have prints made but only from your best shots - ie you don't waste money making 36 prints when you really only want 1 from the roll, and when you view them, they look like jewels compared to machine prints. You'll learn a lot more from slide than you will from print in the early stages of your photography.

Hi
I have one - use it with my 10D all the time - very heavy lens, built like a brick $hithouse. I have used it with both Kenko macro tubes,(great) and a Kenko 2X converter (OK). The lens itself is well worth the money - use the hood - it's a little flare-prone.
