  1. I also shoot pretty much the same way I shot during film days. There is a cost to digital and that is time in front of the computer. I don't want to have to go through 10,000 images to find 5 that I like. My goal is to shoot 5 if I want to have 5. However, I'm not that good and so, I wind up shooting about 20 - 30 to get the five I want. Sometimes I watch Youtube videos of the various metrosexual people showing off their overpriced equipment and I see them do an outdoor family shoot and they're firing their cameras like machine guns. I don't get that. You'll have to go through 5 or 6 images that are essentially the same. You can see what you're shooting before you press the button, so you pretty much know how good it's going to be. If you're not sure, take two, but to fire off a burst... not my thing.

Better not leave a mess when visiting other people's homes. Otherwise, nobody will be able to take you anywhere. :)

Painting seems to be a very messy business. Photography is much cleaner. ;D

I bet you this is one of the most underappreciated images in your portfolio. Well done!
  18. Hi Andrew, We're here to get constructive feedback and that's what I try to do. I like your lighting. You have it down pat. Most of your images are very well lit. Your posing is a bit stiff. I'm still in the process of looking over your photos, but that's what I'm seeing: The body has to flow, the lines have to give the feeling of motion. Most of your poses are stiff and they give the feeling of being entrenched in the ground. Get your model to loosen up and think of curves. Flowing curves. Hope this helps.
  19. Rule #1 of figure photography: No straight lines. Bend the legs, bend the arms, otherwise, it looks as though they're sticking out like tree branches.
