Not a stink bug but a colorful cockroach. A very pretty roach at that, too...

Thanks for your comments.

Hey, nice shot Jim. I forget, is it the Ponderosa bark that smells like vanilla, or is that only Jeffrey bark?

Wow, that's a fantastic composition!

This is an amazing photograph, a brilliant capture of a very small animal on the perfect backdrop! Lovely.

I think that's a Mycetophilid, not a mosquito.

Looks to me like a Notodontid moth.

I should add that this photograph, from its very humble beginnings here on photo.net, this week graduated to the cover of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. I feel like a proud father!

Ok, so this one has been already done about a zillion times, but all the same the colors here are bright and pure, and the diverging contrails are a nice touch.

There's something about the black background that I don't much like. But, this is still quite an interesting shot. And, your head-on mozzie shot is fantastic!

This isn't Apis mellifera, the honey bee that all we westerners are used to. Any idea what species this one is? Apis cerana maybe? Lovely shot, at any rate.
Anyone know what kind of Bug this is? Because he's Bugging Me! ;o) LOL

Great shot, by the way.
