First, I apologize for not responding earlier, but I have been away. Phil, thanks for the dodge and burn -- I think you have improved the picture. I appreciate all of the comments here.

This is another of my attempts to do something on days that are not

inviting of outdoor landscape-type photography. The scene was a

very ordinary one in the central valley of California. The sky was

very bright with no clouds. In PS, I increased the contrast

somewhat and made the sky black. Then I filled in a large blank

space with the turn sign from another photo.

Comments appreciated.

This was taken on a day with a vivid cloud formation. Contrast

increased sharply in PS and sepia tone applied. Comments

appreciated.
