Taken mid-day, and as straight black and white print lighting was too
flat. Adjusted in PS to bring out the drama of the scene that the
film did not.

Taken with P&S. Manipulated for effect in PS. Comments appreciated.

Thanks John.

This is a reposting of one I which I received an excellent suggestion
(thanks Jim) that the color seemed to blue. I did some adjustment in
PS, but color gives me a lot of trouble so I may not have this right.
Comments and suggestions very much appreciated.

Go here if you can. Cohab canyon actually begins high up the side of
a hill and is said to have been a hiding place for polygamists
escaping the law. The beauty of this place is beyond anything a
photograph can depict.

Thanks for the comment. As to the b&w, I have tried that but surprisingly it did not work. Notice there is a lot of pattern in this picture, and the color provides separation. In b&w, it becomes very busy. When I get a chance, I will post one so you can seel what I mean.

Small crop from picture taken from train at station in Namur Belgium.

This has been a difficult image to work with. I like the image and
some but not all of the lighting. It was late afternoon, and I was
shooting into the sun, which I tried to deal with my placing the light
behind one of the trees to the left of the tower. But it was a tough
exposure (on film) because of the extremely high contrast of the scene
involving both direct sun and shade where I wanted some detail. PS
adsjustment limited to the kind of dodging and burning that would be
done through traditional print processing.
Comments/suggestions/criticisms appreciated.

Shot under very flat lighting. Manipulated in PS to bring out shapes
and light. Comments/criticisms very much appreciated.

Terrific use of lens to achieve an effect.

It is very beautiful and nearly perfect. But you asked twice for suggestions, so I will offer one. I think a less vertical image showing more sky would be even more effective. Not quite a square image, but a little more in that direction.

Strong afternoon light and backlighting. Red filter, and further
contrast boost in PS. Comments appreciated.

Yes, red filter, late afternoon light, with a further boost in contrast in PS.

Stunning image with beautiful tonality. Nicely done.

Great use of color. As it is, a fine image, but I have a feeling you can tweak the lines/composition a bit to make it even more effective. Try cropping some of the let and the top of the picture.
