Merry Christmas to you too...!
Been a while. Just not into the photo.net scene of late, but still visit (obviously)... ;-)
Just got back from RI and trip to in-laws. Nice... Went through Canada (saves time).
Hope all is well.

Been Around just not doing much with photo.net. Kinda of learning Linux!!
Need to sell some old Nikon stuff for some digital stuff. Talk to you soon.

I always use Tiff as there is no loss from save to save. Jpg has loss, or so I am told.
Yes busy doing other stuff current. Am official Navy retired now though, so weekends are free-er.

Yes I remember the stoney hallways and stairs and a few dribbles of water hear and there. Turbines too!

Thanks! I take it you have been to this spot?
Sharpness is illusory. This negative and the rest of my 1969 save one or two were not properly stored and are ripe with little white spots and scratches that takes me some time to clean up and in many cases I have to use a filter to eliminate them or spend a week cleaning them up.
The above is non-filtered but I did not use my unsharp or my sharp mask for that matter on it.
It is an immense project, the dam that is. Awesome site.

;-) ;-)
I had a chuckle... Thanks!

So this does look like Vegas and you knew right away! For me, too long ago. just barely remember.
Don't know Linda's work. Paul thought a lot of her and I will have to be on the ready to see some of her photography for myself.

I think you are right. When inputting queens, golden nugget, fremont hotel it hits Las Vegas. Well done!
Steve
-
Did you google-it from 1969 though? Somehow me thinks Reno??
Steve
-
Not all buildings or photos warrant such treatment. Just that some do. Straight on views most especially. Tilting is ok most of the time, imo. It is just a technique to be used when you think it does.

More I think about this photo, I believe it could be Reno. Such a long time ago?
Steve
-
if this is Vegas or Reno. My guess is Reno. Thoughts?

the one with the people and one just below the geyser. People put an
era on it -- old style hats from the late sixties.

Perspective control is the feature in PS you may consider. Pick one of the german village buildings in your trip portfolio such as the nice church straight on view I saw. Play with that one and see if PC in PS helps with the backward leaning? Fun to do.
