I am a big fan of the square format and symmetry so, taking the above recommendation of a different crop, I would try to crop away a bit from the left end from the righ and leave the boat in the center. This way even the hill on background remain in the center, playng wiht the man an the boat. Anyway a grat image, congratulation. Diego -

Scanning was a nightmare for me (epson flatbed) untill recently when I purchased a used Hasselblad flextight 646 scanner. Now scanning is simple, rapid and the quality is uncomparable. Do not spend time in scanning with flatbed (nor spend money in professional service), buy a good real scanner, it will serve you for many years and you amortize the price in a relatively few scans if you pay for professional scan (not considering the cost of your time if you scan by yourself with a cheap scan). When I saw the quality difference I started to completely re-scan my film archive. I can not think to the time I wasted scanning with flatbed scanner. -
Thanks you all for your kind comments, I do appreciate it. David, no one dragged the rock, that is a natural phenomenon that happens in the "racetrack playa" where many rocks move over the ground due to the strong wind, muddy ground and ice water that helps the rocks to stay afloat. Very original. Normally I like the big expanded sky as clearly showed by my pictures but this time I would explore the possibility of a wider aspect ratio (panoramic) in order to eliminate the big empty space in the upper part. Just my humble opinion, I like it very much! -
A very strong and emotional image, congratulation! At first I did not notice the pattern on the floor in the low right angle but when I enlarge the picture it is visible enough to give more balance to the picture and put it in context. Excellent! -
Hello! I agree with most of the above comment about the fact that this image could be enanched a little bit (which might not be?) Nevertheless is a powerfull and original image which grabbed immediatly my attention in a stunning portfolio, one of the best and more original picture you can find on the net. Complimenti! -
