  13. Hey, Jim I have to say it was good old trial and error with bracketing! What finally worked was an EI of 40, definitely no more than 50 and no more than a 15% increase of published development time. Any longer and fog would become an issue. I found that generally, a generous exposure was way better than underexposure. When underexposed, and applying contrast corrections in PE, the grain became highly exaggerated. You can see some of this effect in "Swirling Water" which was shot at an effective EI of 80. Nice submissions everyone!
  14. <p>Thank you Jim. The day was a thin bright overcast with little or no shadows present, an overall pleasing, diffusing light. As for the Plus-X, a couple of years ago I was able to get a hold of three 1979-vintage 5-roll pro packs of 220 size on eBay for ten bucks. I was amazed as to how useable it still is; there's some fogging, but not excessively so, certainly nothing to prevent printing or scanning without undue effort. Developing in HC-110 helps I think, as it has a reputation for minimizing fog on old film.</p>
  15. <p>Nice ones, E. and Jim.</p> <p>C & O Canal National Park, Maryland shot with my newly-acquired Bronica ETR and 40mm f/4 Zenzanon MC lens on really, <em>really</em> expired Plus-X (1979!). Developed in HC-110, scanned on an Epson 4990 flatbed with minor shadow/highlight adjustments in Photoshop Elements.</p> <p><img id="yui_3_11_0_3_1424064997560_417" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7291/16296666779_78af589fd2_c.jpg" alt="" /></p> <p>The full size scan <a href="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7291/16296666779_640429e3dc_o.jpg">here</a>.</p> <p>Next, with the 75mm f/2.8 Zenzanon MC:</p> <p><img id="yui_3_11_0_3_1424065157486_416" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7388/15862811983_a0e403eed2_c.jpg" alt="" /></p> <p>Full size <a href="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7388/15862811983_e319b26fe3_o.jpg">here</a>.</p> <p>Last but not least, a swirling water abstract scene in the canal, also with the 75mm f/2.8 MC:</p> <p><img id="yui_3_11_0_3_1424065279176_417" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7375/16482931305_bb122bcdd3_c.jpg" alt="" /></p> <p>Also, the full size scan <a href="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7375/16482931305_422222cfec_o.jpg">here</a>.</p>
