1.
Still nothing new this week, too many busy trips! However, a Canon 7 just arrived the other day so I'll be trying it out this coming week. In the mean time here's one from some years ago, at the London Underground.

Canon III Rangefinder, 50/1.9 Serenar, Elite Chrome 200

 2.
I have nothing new this week either; here's something from a couple years ago at the main entrance to the Los Angeles Intl Airport. Shot with a Canon III rangefinder and a 50/1.9 Serenar that I unfortunately sold some time ago. But good news, I now have a Canon 7 on its way!

Stephen, nice tones and detail by the way.

T400 CN

 4.
Speaking of scanners, I recently obtained a Pakon F135 scanner for sale on the auction site; no holders and I feed in the entire roll uncut after it's dry, a 36-exposure roll is scanned in less than 5 minutes! The catch is it runs only on Windows XP; but there is a workaround for newer Windows versions and Mac.

Another from the same roll with my Leica Standard:

Otherwise, I use an Epson 4990 flatbed for medium and large format.

 7.
Hello Paul, thanks for the post! Those box cameras are capable of surprising results, with a kind of elegance in their minimalistic form. And I understand what you mean about being liberated with limited options. Years ago, my aunt gave me this Ensign 116 camera.

I remember shooting a few rolls through it (this was the early 70s, I was a young teenager), but never knew what became of them. Some time this past year I finally stumbled on them, tucked away in a box with some other odds and ends. I developed the VP 116 film in HC-110 (Dil B)and although there was a little fog, the film turned out great.

Here is a frame from that roll (my grandmother's house) and it's now on my wall in 11x14 with surprising detail!

Anyway, excellent pics, show us more when you can!

 9.
A Summitar is the primary lens on my M6 and use it on my M8 occasionally. It works and meters perfectly with the adapter with great results. Here's an example with the M6 and Summitar on TMX:

 10.
And Bill, it's excellent! Looks nice in chrome too. By the serial number from this web page, looks to be circa 1939. It's simplicity at its best, exercise it often!

 11.

I'd say this is a candidate for the sort of camera to take on one's travels. Just one lens, no RF to worry about, not too big...

This is so true, with the lens collapsed, it is truly compact and can easily fit into a pants side pocket. And in daylight, zone focusing is easy at smaller apertures. My submission for this week's W/NW was with my Leica Standard and 50mm Elmar zone focused from six feet away at f/8.

 12.
Congrats! Is yours black or chrome finish?

I'll show you mine, show us yours!

Both the camera and the lens were separate KEH purchases, the FOKOS rangefinder from eBay. The camera was "bargain" condition, and works flawlessly; believe it or not, the lens was "ugly" condition, the only problems being stiff focusing and aperture, the glass is near perfect. Another testament to KEH's conservative grading.

Enjoy!

 13.
Nothing new this week, so here's one taken late last summer, my wife and son in a playful moment...

Leica I Standard (Model E), 50/3.5 Elmar, T400 CN

 14.
I have a titanium-plated M6 classic that was previously owned by a famous photojournalist. Despite it's ornamental exterior, this person had no reservations about adding some dents and numerous scratches to the body in the 15 or so years it was in his possession. This is the reason it was priced the way it was and kept it in a price range I could afford. I say don't worry about the tape and give that Leica the well-worn user look it deserves. Just my opinion of course! :)
 15.
Thanks Paul and Barry; good grief three hours... and I thought DC traffic was bad!

 17.
Hey E., doesn't matter if it was used before or not, nice shot!

Last month I posted some Potomac River Great Falls shots at the C&O Canal NP, so here are the color shots from the same day; interchangeable backs are nice!

Here's the full size version.

One more,

The full size version again.

Bronica ETR, 40mm f/4 Zenzanon MC, Kodak ProImage 100
