Thank you Melissa. But could you specify what you do like and what you dislike exactly? Without giving any specification I cannot benefit from your contribution and therefore cannot improve my pictures.
Thanks

In contrast to your picture with the thank, here one could really think that this house was burned after a lightning stroke it or some wind blew away the roof. But I guess, the context is the same like in the other picture. This is why, perhaps, it conveys another message as it possibly should. However, I do like the picture but also think, that a little bit more detail in the farther places (perhaps a tree, some rocks or something else, behind in the fog) could add a bit to the composition, to the chosen perspective.

While the house in the background could have been demolished by weather over time the tank in the foreground changes the whole meaning of this picture in a dramatical way. Although the composition could have been done better (to much open space on the top-left, for my gusto) the picture works very well, gives this dramatical feeling which you obviously desired to give and therefore it is excellent! :)

It's somehow funny to see your canal keepers looking towards the possibly incoming ships while letting the ship in the backround pass, probably after a thorough inspecition. :) They seem like border control to me, just waiting for the next suspicious face to show up. :)
While the picture is technically good, like Dejan, I would like to see some more tonality, a little more detail. Perhaps some detail in the background (preferably blurred but visible) would make this picture a bit more vivid.

Hello everybody
I would like to know what you like or dislike about this picture. What about the perspective, the colouring (it was really that blue because of the shadow casted on the valley), the whole idea?
Please tell me in detail what you think about it.
Thanks in advance
Cheers,

Hi Stanisa
While I also find, that the lighting and/or the colors are quite spectacular, I don't find the composition to be very exciting. On the other hand, I don't know if I would have done it differently, if I had more time to shoot. Remember, the clouds were incoming very quickly.
Thank you for your comment and rating! :)

Hi Toni
Your pictures have always that certain something - something perfect, if I may call it perfect. There is always so much loveliness, so much humanity in your pictures. That really makes you stand out of the photographing masses! This picture, again, is a very nice one to look at and feel comfortable and at home and tell others about your photography. I hope you understand what I actually mean :)
Well, having said that I have to look on some of your photographs again. For inspirational purposes! :)

I like this picture particulary because of it's unusual composition and viewing angle. It is a bit crowded but this doesn't bother me at all. It's more the blooming, the white overexposed areas, that disturb a little bit. I think there are enough details in this pic to make up for the little flaws.

Well, I think it's great! I really like the light and that you captured some of the lightsources too! That really adds to the overall impression! I like the dark area in front of the singer because it supports the spotlights. I'm not sure about the grain/noise though ... it make's the light look somewhat unrealistic, I think.

While this is not really fine art it is made with film for fine art.
:) Thus, I choose this category. Feel free to critique and make
suggestions on how to improve this or similar pictures in my
portfolio. Critique is very welcome and so are comments and/or ratings.

A late summer afternoon in Lucerne, just before it started raining.
Critiques are welcome, ratings too. Please note, that due to the color
space in your OS/browser this image might appear a little too dark.
Viewed in AdobeRGB it isn't.

For me, this one is the most interesting of all three. But even here the comment, I left for the second picture, would apply. Nevertheless, this one is much better as the ones before!

While the location per se is obviously interesting, I can absolutely agree with Masha and your second comment. This means, you'll need better lighting conditions, perhaps more shadow, a different sea and a different sky. The image would certainly benefit from a sunset/sunrise or some clouds and shadows or even a stormier sea or fog/dust. We all also know that you are able to make beatiful photographs in every aspect!
If you have time and ambitions, go there again early in the mornings or later in the afternoons, check the weather forecast and so on. Often, you get the best images when you expect it the least.
I really can understand when you say that you just wanted to take a picture. And such critique, like I have writen now, would be apropriate for most of my pictures too ;) But perhaps you should try again.
Now I'm waiting for your next pic! :)
Btw. it's nice to see a piece of coast which isn't overpopulated by foreign (or domestic) tourists.

Indeed a nice picture. I like the composition, the framing and the colors. Only the copyright distracts a bit from the nice scenery. And perhaps I'd try to give the trees a bit more saturation. But that's only a little "flaw" :) Keep up doing stuff like this! I really like your recent pictures. Although your photography has always been good, you're improving!

... but your photos with the Nikkormat seem to have more depth than the ones taken with the D100. It's always the eyes or some other detail which makes the picture richer. The "crop" is, as always, perfect. I'm really an admirer of your pictures :)

Very simple but still attractive. Nice colors, smooth looking but I'd like to see a better presentation. With frames and so on...

What do you think about colours, composition and such? Comments and/or
rating are welcome. Thanks.
