Nice view of one of my favorite aircraft of all time. I LOVE this plane. The curve of the wings (which makes the shot here), and the sound of the engine. Nice job getting a new perspective. And nice job showing a killing machine looking almost relaxed and quiet.
Check out my portfolio. I have a few shots of a recent airshow at Langley. The shots are of various aerial displays, so they're more action oriented than this one (but much less artful).

An F-15 pulling a tight turn w/full afterburner.
Just curious what people think. Unlike some of the other shots in this folder, during this
performance there were few/no clouds in the sky to offer any depth. For me, it's all about
the afterburner here. Thoughts?

Great shot! Can't think of an improvement. Very nice lighting....

I typically take pictures of scenes and people, rather than architecture, but I looked up in
NY and saw this, and figured I'd give it a shot. Does it work? What would you change?
There's another architecture shot in my NYC folder, so please check it out and offer your
comments/suggestions/tips as well. Thanks so much...

I couldnt' agree more about the lens flare. I should have taken that out in photoshop. Good point.
Thanks for the feedback, everyone. Keep it coming...

Nice! Great line with the fingers. Great details and skin tones, too.

I like the lines. But, I've love to see more definition in the sky, and a little more detail in the landscape (basically create less contrast between the sky and land/water).

Technical critiques welcome. Or, just tell me what you think of the photo. Does it make
you feel anything? What about the lines? I wanted an old-timey feel, with the slight
vignette and the tones. Did I achieve it?
-
Are the lines and tones interesting to your eye?

Too much top-lighting and the shadows bother me.
KIDDING!
Brave capture, my friend. All she had to do was to lean back and you'd be DONE!

Thoughts on cropping/exposure/content welcome.

Really nice! I like it. Really draws your attention across the line. Good use of focus. Any deeper DOF would have the grandfather too much in focus. Any shallower DOF and he would be too blurry. Nice job.

I like it. I like the zig-zag composition of the lines, as you said, and I really like the colors. They're not OVER-saturated, but they're quite strong, especially the grass.
Nice capture.

Krista: I appreciate your comments very much. I think you understand what it is that I like about this photo. And by all means: please feel free to mess around with the shots and offer anything that you feel is helpful. I hadn't considered a square crop, so maybe this is a new solution.
New ideas are always good. CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is always welcome. JeNell, please take note. There's a way to offer comments and criticism that doesn't make you sound like a petulant little girl.

It's actually one kid--my nephew, Jackson, hiding in a game of hide-and-seek. He wasn't posing for a photo, I just happened to have my camera with me while we were playing. He was in his Wild West phase, so he carried his guns around with him all the time, especially when playing.
Thanks for the kind remarks. If there are any changes you'd suggest, please feel free to offer them up.

Fantastic photo!
The water looks like it is playing......
Great catch. Good eye to even see it in the first place.

Nice shot, Andrey. Great composition. I would give it just a touch more contrast, but that's likely just a personal preference.
Keep it up--

"I could KEEEEL YOU IN YOUR SLEEP!!!......but maybe after I take a nap myself...."
Nice tones in the hair, and great color in the eyes.

I came to this location set to take a very different shot (this light is in the side yard of a
house that's near my girlfriend's house), but once we got there, I snapped a few shots of
my girl in front of the light. Do you like the pose? What about control over the highlights?
All feedback appreciated.

My apologies--when I checked your page originally, the photos did not load up I guess. Regardless, I didn't see your portfolio.
And, while I don't necessarily agree with your critique, I understand some of your points. One thing to remember, though, is that this was not a posed shot: My niece is in the background because she was sitting farther away from me. As for the cropping on the boy's head, I do agree that I would have liked to see it a little higher, but again--this wasn't posed and the camera caught what the camera caught. I could have re-shot, but catching the girls's glimpse from behind the boy wouldn't have happened again.
Regardless, thank you for actually explaining your thoughts. I fully understand not everyone is going to like the shots in my portfolio, and I am a learning photographer, so I am looking for helpful critique, not just a "no".

You not only commented negatively, but twice. And you did so without adding even an ounce of intelligent critique. Thank you so much.
I would welcome constructive criticism from an knowledgeable photographer. After visiting your page on this site, which has no portfolio to showcase your talents, I doubt you qualify as such.
Please refrain from adding any more comments. Thank you, and goodbye.
