James - IMO, it's severly overexposed and the front angle it was shot at leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe better light, and a more interesting perspective?

Nice portrait. It looks like the focus is sharper on his right eye and I think it would have been stronger on the left.

Excellent use of light. I don't get the "alone" feeling from the photo due to her facial expression. She looks almost as if she is anticipating someone walking in any moment. Maybe a better title would be "waiting."

Regardeless, the photo is well executed.
