    I just bought a 55mm f1.4 chinon m42 mount lens from ebay. I knew it was faulty but the owner did not appear to explain things proprely. The aperture ring sometimes goes all the way round and sometimes not but the problem appears to be that the iris does not close when I press the pin. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

    I attended a workshop quite a few years ago photographing church interiors. We photographed the chapel of a private school. From what I understand the school/college would have copyright over the architecture of the building. If I sold a few images privately would I need to get permission from the college? I appreciate your responses

    People will have differing views that's why dyxum can be useful but an expert will be more reliable

    Seems a little strange but I have to agree that the images are his and he can use them if he wishes for this purpose

    I agree with Austin. You can establish a good rapport with college students but as he says approach them properly

    I am not convinced by this. It sounds like just another way of them gaining copyright try to get a reasonable lawyer I think it will be worth it in the long run

    I read on a forum that if I got an image retouched I would lose some of the copyright is this correct?

    The zeiss 55 mm f1.8 lens is superb but small can't they do something similar for other lenses? They didn't produce a 55mm f1.4 probably because of the weight. They could have done something similar with the 85mm instead of f1.4 perhaps a f1.8 we don't truly need f1.4 I have a zeiss 135mm f1.8 but I don't shoot at that

    <p>I have read that probably the capture one pro converter is probably the best on the market. My data converter is the sony version which I use. I would like to know if I subsequently used capture one would I get a better image on my existing images or must it be done at the time of initial processing?</p>

    With the new version of the zeiss 16 - 35mm f2.8 lens out I was wondering if anyone has experience of it. I cannot find any reviews on the Internet it may be too early and nothing on dyxum either maybe someone here? Is it significantly better than the previous version?

    I have a zeiss 16 - 35mm f2.8 lens. I have not managed to use it much for various reasons. On the occasions I did I found vignetting a problem. Lack of use vignetting and cost are my reasons for thinking of selling. Is there a good zoom out the for sony that does not gave the vignetting problem. Answers very much appreciated

    Thanks for the detailed responses as someone who is not computer literate I will try to get some help with your suggestions. I know someone who had problems with viruses a phographer and changed to a mac from pc though he may have had other reasons as well that's what is making me think along this route

    Thanks guys that's interesting I am using yahoo mainly but do use Google mail too. Was hoping macs would magically remove my worries of course I knew that they were not immune but was hoping they would lessen my worry considerably.i have a smartphone but it seems to be linked to my pc which I don't want.

    If I wanted an imac for the main purpose of having sucurity on my inbox would an older one do or should I get a recent one?
