  1. In terms of #2, supply from 180 to 300 pixels per inch of desired output. 7 inches would require minimum of 1260 pixels and no more than 2100 pixels for output to 7 inches. As to sharpening: https://creativepro.com/out-of-gamut-thoughts-a-sharpening-workflow/

  3. As for a better lightsource, I've had success with the Kaiser Slimlite Plano LED light box: https://kaiserfotous.com/search.php?search_query_adv=slimlite https://kaiserfotous.com/?gad=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwkNOpBhBEEiwAb3MvvZZYZFiASikjA2QCGIHRNdi3MWaAX3-BOO4Nx4cPbhs_JyjON-sjuhoC8oUQAvD_BwE
  4. If you don't see banding at certain shutter speeds, that's the issue. Likely your shutter speed is not synced up with the refresh rate/frequency of the light source.
  5. Do you see banding when viewing the image data at 1:1 (100%) zoom in, say, Photoshop? That is very important to consider. Also keep in mind that if you do see such banding at that ratio, it may be in the actual image data or it could be in the display preview path. But let's start with viewing the image data ideally. You might consider uploading a sample to something like Dropbox so others can examine this.
  6. There should be no issues. Check your catalog preference but once you double-click the catalog, it should open just fine.
  7. What you are showing on the left side is the Finder Sidebar (Favorates) of which you can add the Desktop (or any file or folder). Is that what you're asking for? https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/customize-the-finder-sidebar-on-mac-mchl83c9e8b8/mac#:~:text=Add a file to the, item in the Favorites section. Add a file to the sidebar: Press and hold the Command key, then drag the file to the Favorites section. If you don’t see the Favorites section, choose Finder > Settings > Sidebar, then select at least one item in the Favorites section.
  8. In the future: Type C key to move/select the Crop tool, then Shift C to toggle the options. The Shift and the key to select for each tool works the same. For example, I key for Eyedropper tools, then Shift I to toggle each option for that tool.
  9. Let's start with a reset of preferences to see if this fixes the issue. Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings. You can also reset preferences on quit if Photoshop is running by going into General Preferences>General>Reset on Quit.
  10. Can you show us a screen capture of what you're seeing? And your PS preferences (File Handling).
  11. Adobe Denoise AI is a part of Adobe Camera Raw (and thus Lightroom Classic which share the processing engine): https://blog.adobe.com/en/publish/2023/04/18/denoise-demystified Bridge like Photoshop, can host Adobe Camera Raw. No Photoshop and thus ACR, no Denoise there.
