you gotta be kidding--they fly it that low? WOW
-
totally awesome; wonderful job of juxtaposing the two together, bravo!

well my burn rate was a frame every 5 minutes per camera (two cameras in use)... this was the one keeper in an all night adventure. i have a leonid as well, but since i dont have a filmscanner, i cant scan it! When the other meteor showers came by, it was either overcast or i didn't have the courage for another freezing allnighter.. this kind of photography can REALLY use another photo buddy. gets very cold and quiet and lonely out there under the big sky

ah, yes, i see the "bill hocker" and "rembrandt/flemish oil" comment has already been made, and with good reason. nothing else to add!

BRAVO! One of the finest shots on photo.net, not for it's technical difficulty--it's a rather simple one--but for seeing it, and impeccably transferring it to film. the symmetry is fantastic, and the colours as well. superb.

oh yea, definitely my fav from the folder... pity the A20 does not have aperture priority exposure, could really use a little more stopping down for corner sharpness and DOF. OR, you could focus lock on the closer items instead of the farther ones?

wow, very punchy colours, is that straight out of the camera? a few things to perhaps try: no boring white sky. on one hand it gives a disjointed feeling, further adding to the "broken down" aura, but i find it distracting. also maybe move over to the left a *tiny* bit; not sure if the doorway is falling in or camera is not level. otherwise, i like it a lot

err, the only "water drop" pics i have that come to mind are those of the gardenia's, in the flora-flowers folder.

nice composition, very bright however, wonder if this is a good print to tone platinum? that would really make this gorgeous.

fantastic, lovely colours, especially the orange sky (how did you do that?). nice atmosphere. btw, great camera, that G2. i'd love to get one. altho canon does not brand it with the Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar label (like the Sony DSC-S70/75/85), the lens IS the same. maybe canon didn't want to pay to licence the CZ moniker but got them to just OEM the lens :)

yes, the 1n is rather close in age to the 1, not sure exactly but perhaps a year or two newer (hence the "n", with minor internal changes).

i can't understand the 1/1 ratings either, Drew; i wouldn't mind them so much if the raters left a note as to why they thought it so bad or what i could do to make it better. as it stand, i ignore the numbers and read the text :) thanks for taking the time to drop a note, much appreciated!

awesome lighting indeed!

a little on the bright side which washes out the details, but BOY those colour REALLY jump out at you. very nice to see there are still such rustic places to live, i for one would be charmed to, or even visit such a locality...all i ask is for an internet connection to upload the photos :)

great DOF control, nice tonality and exposure, and framing too!
-
nice exposure!

am i the only wondering "what happend to vladimir"? i mean, we want to know if he (and the rest) made it ok after the accident. i haven't followed the games, so i dont know
-
simple, powerful, elegant. doesn't get much better. it does, however, deserve a MUCH lower compression value, or the JPG artifacts ruin the smoothness
-
the exposure is super! normally this is very hard to capture the high contrast dynamic range.
-
one of the finest photos of the falls i've seen.
-
is the crop good, you asked: works for me!
-
bingo! now you've got it.
-
my only complaint is that it appears very soft, the scan perhaps.
