tm_j 30 Posted February 14, 2022 Grazie mille Giangiorgio! The weather has been great lately in SoCal with relatively high temperature (Santa Ana wind - hot air from the desert) and no more fog. Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted February 14, 2022 Thanks Warren! You won't be jealous if you hear about our 'sunshine tax' ... I mean everything is so expensive here in SoCal. For example, with my property tax, I can buy a Canon R5 + RF 600mm F4 IS and still have money left over :-) - I am ready to move outa here! Link to comment
momagnum 5 Posted February 15, 2022 Pictures of birds is not my style. But with this, I have to bow into the dust in admiration. Tommy Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted February 16, 2022 Thanks Tommy Mostrup! Glad you stopped by and left your thought. I would like to let you in on my secret, this shot details is very good because the bird flew so fast, get real close I clipped of the tail some. Because it's so close, the details is so good that I salvaged it by cropping the back off , LOL! Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted February 16, 2022 Extraordinary capture done extraordinarily well. The clarity obtained with a bird in flight is nothing short of amazing. Brilliant work, TmJ Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted February 17, 2022 Thanks Wayne Sadler! The sweet, soft afternoon light is what gives the image that sharpness and clarity. It's not too harsh for the light plumage and soft enough (being down low on the horizon) to show good details. The same goes with early morning light, in general, about 8:30AM is when the light get harsh from my observation. Of course, each day lighting varies as well as location. I was 1000 miles up in Washington a few weeks back and the light up that way is wonderful practically any time (but it's also foggy most days), LOL! Link to comment
