Wax flowers - (Hoya carnosa). These beautiful flowers secrete drops of nectar which attract insects. I photographed these Wax flowers - (Hoya carnosa) with the focus stacking technique, combining several photographs, with the aim of getting everything in focus, Nikon D850, Sigma macro 105mm, f / 7.1, 1/50 sec, ISO 64. Thanks for your comments

Giangiorgio, your technique paid off very generously, leading to focus that comes close to perfection; this led to sharpness in even the most minute detail. Aesthetically, a viewer can't ask for more - especially the colors and lighting. The color palette represents a happy marriage, and the contrast involves a spectacular use of shadow, midtones, and highlighting. Magnificent work! - - My best always, michael - - - Ciao!!

Hi Giangiorgio,

a wonderful example of focus stacking with a very suitable subject. I really like the amount of detail and the seamlessness of the result. I've tried this technique a few times and often ran into issues with the layers. Colors and contrast are appealing too. Kind regards, Vincent

Grazie mille Vincent for your nice comment much appreciated. Focus stacking is a very interesting technique, the various photos must first be aligned

and then merged in photoshop or in dedicated programs. After a few tests, good results are obtained, try again, ciao Giangiorgio
