Giangiorgio Crisponi 463 Posted May 19, 2021 Flamingo, landing braking - (Phoenicopterus ruber) . I photographed just before sunrise, this flamingo in the landing phase, with a long braking. The shot was made from the top of a hill overlooking the Cagliari lagoon at a distance of about 1 km, with Nikon d850, Sigma supertele 300-800mm, f / 5.6, 1 / 1600sec, ISO 900. michaellinder 16,611 Posted May 19, 2021 Giangiorgio, the image's simplicity already has been addressed to my satisfaction, so I need not repeat it. What you captured so artistically in the flaming's landing demonstrates a simple concept of physics - drag. As is one of the hallmarks your work exemplifies, the contrast in both color and tonality is bold to the point that a viewer can't help but to notice it. - - My best always, michael - - - Ciao!
