Giangiorgio Crisponi 477 Posted July 1, 2020 Exhibitionist - (Ardea cinerea). This morning I photographed this gray heron (Ardea cinerea). The pose he took on, reminded me of the classic one of the exhibitionists. Nikon d850, Sigma supertele 300-800mm, f / 7.1, 1/1000 sec, ISO 100. Thanks for your comments Link to comment

pablowarko 1 Posted July 2, 2020 I have to admit that I have never seen anything like it, Giangiorgio. Good eye contact and lots of details in the feathers. Wonderful job of capturing this event. Best regards, Paul. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted July 2, 2020 Giangiorgio, I thought I was positioned to find your new work in a more timely way. It's back to the drawing board for me. At any rate, if I didn't know better, I'd think you arranged for the heron to pose for you! Its plosition is certainly majestic and revealing as well. It's as if it is trying to Discosevite innermost secrets. Outstanding work. - - My best always, michael - - Ciao! Link to comment

tai 3 Posted July 2, 2020 Amazing genre scene, Giangiorgio! You made me laugh! I have a different association. This bird resembles the character of Charles Chaplin. It seems to be showing empty pockets turned inside out. Delight! Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment

DGorinstein 20 Posted July 3, 2020 No doubt a true beauty. A lady showing off its magnificent nature. Not pretentious, but honest. This is who I am......a a unique and gorgeous manifestation of Nature. A treasure of a photograph. You transmit sooooo much with it, that I rather stop here, and admire your delightful photograph. archer55 0 Posted July 4, 2020 Giangiorgio, A wonderful image!! I have seen this behavior in a similar bird we have in the U.S., a Great Blue Heron. I was told by a birder that is in response to warm weather. The bird opens the wings to facilitate cooling and ends up looking like a dirty old man! As usual your imagery is also very well done from a technical standpoint. I look forward to your images!! Bill Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted July 4, 2020 Hi Giangiorgio, I have seen thousands of grey herons, but this pose is unique! This bird most likely is drying its wings in the sunshine, a bit like cormorants do. Nicely lit with natural colors, I like it. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
