Giangiorgio, this image is indeed a fitting tribute to David. Had I not read David's narrative and yours, I would have taken this image as an abstract and wouldn't have taken the small black dots as sunspots. I too will be on the watch during 2020. - - My best always, michael - - Ciao!

Thanks Michael, for your visit and the nice comment, I paid tribute to David who posted the photo of the sun with the recent transit of Mercury, which reminded me of this photo taken by me on the occasion of the transit of Venus in 2012. Those black dots are Venus in my photo and Mercury in David's not sunspots
